✍️ Pass my muse a note
Kenai waited until the English teacher had his back turned, having been pretending to take notes, and then glanced at Mei.
You got ONE SHOT, he told himself for the hundredth time. His hands were clammy and unsteady. You faced a bear… so you can do this, right?
The teacher made a tiny move, and, spooked, Kenai jolted his arm towards Mei’s desk, put the sticky note there- and hit his knuckles on the edge of said desk because of the uncoordinated, rapid movement.
He grit his teeth behind closed lips, both out of fear of getting caught and fear of his friend’s reaction. So, heart racing, he waited, scratching his cheek.
The note read:
hey, wanna see what the fall dance will be like? Denahi said it’ll be cool.
He had, in fact, not said that. But he needed to say something to help himself out!
@brxtherbear rip Kenai’s hand and maybe his pride lmao
Nonverbal RP Starters
Mei jumped a bit in her seat from the abrupt action. Her gaze darted to Kenai who looked like he was in pain. She made a mental note to ask him if he was okay the moment class was over.
Blinking owlishly, she looked down at the sticky note that appeared on her desk. Acting quickly, she skillfully slid it between the pages of her notebook before the teacher could notice. When the coast was clear, she took it back out and read it. Oh yeah! The fall dance was coming up soon! Mei didn't think Kenai would be interested in that sort of thing though.
She quickly scribbled down her reply, and discreetly placed it back on his desk.
sure! sounds like it'll be fun! :D
However, the more she thought about it, the more she wondered if he meant it in a friend way or a...more than friend way. Heat flooded her cheeks at the thought. That would be another thing she'd have to ask him after class...
