I’m totally jealous of Bruce Hall having nearly-flawless hair right out of bed... and Dave Amato with his bedhead and sleepy eyes, crashing his head on Bruce’s shoulder at 5:28 is priceless.

“Dunky D” and “who are you people?!” are lines that won’t ever leave my head... amongst others.

OCTOBER 26th, 2007:

My parents went and saw these guys in concert bc my dad bought my mom tickets for her birthday (funny enough, the wife of my dad’s best friend won tickets to this exact show via radio contest, so all 4 of them went together). I have some vague memories of this night- a high school football game with my uncle and grandfather, NO PARENTS WOOO, sleeping over at my other grandparents’ house for the first time, but that’s about it. I was only six so I’m surprised I even remember THAT much from “the night mom and dad saw REO.”

The next day, I remember seeing a photo of her with them (a photo I haven’t seen since then and is- as far as I know- long since missing somewhere in the house) and thinking it was cool that she was finally with the band she forced down our throats since birth, and that was that. (She did get a pink t shirt signed by all of them though! I’ve seen this in the past 2 years and have put it on too! I lost the photos I had of it though so I’m gonna have to look for the shirt and take more)

MAY 2020:

I’m going through the CDs we have in the kitchen and decide to look through the inner pamphlet for my mom’s copy of Find Your Own Way Home. This is an album I have yet to listen to (damned procrastination), but it’s an album I can recognize instantly, as it was always floating around the car without its case while I was growing up. As I was paging through it, I came across the reason why the case was always missing.

How many times do you get to say “oh yeah I was paging through one of my favorite band’s albums that we have in the house and there were SiGnatUREs iN ThE cEntERFOLd”?

Naturally, of course, I was like “Hey mom quick question :^)” But she has literally no memory of getting this signed. You can tell by looking at it in the light that they’re legit (as if Neal signing completely over his face wasn’t an obvious clue already, and the ink was obviously still wet ((which is my best guess)) when the book was closed- just look at poor Bryan’s face!) The other thing that gets me is that there’s a halfway crease in the entire booklet; evidence that my mom was keeping it folded in her purse or something so she COULD get it signed.

Pretty neat, right?

I know there’s not that many REO fans on here and I’ve said WAY too much and probably won’t get a single note, but I had to get this in writing bc seriously, how COOL is that??
