okay finally sitting down to a taping of the reunion show, ten days after the fact 😎🏄‍♂️🏝️ illin' like villain bro.

hnw isn't my Extra Special Beloved Album the way it is for some people (a moment of silence for my fellow gnahapt girlies) BUT i'm still obviously very excited and very jelly of the people who actually got to get tickets. and i mean. sleeping pills. fucking. sleeping pills. they motherfreaking played sleeping pills. i'm good. i'm good for YEARS.

(which, you know, taking this time to micro-blog like god intended: if they do more shows together there is a good chance we'll get something.... adjacent... to a good night set. like dallon plays plenty of songs from that era with idkhow, they just got re-tooled for violent things, and mike seems way less edgy about songs like march 2, jacqui, west of california, etc. we're probably never going to see songs like aeroplanes or break your arm revisited live, but SOMETHING could very well be on the rise for the gnahapt freaks. AND THEY PLAYED SLEEPING PILLS. what i'm saying is that i never ever thought i'd ever get to see you or a ghost live, and the idea of even seeing that on VIDEO is tantalizing.)

anyway, no more pontificating, i'll actually watch the set now. idk if people like??? rambling live blogs????? but i haven't seen a lot of buzz in the tags so i figured i'd post. check the notes for updates etc.

nah I'm like genuinely mad now. you're telling me that not one of the four grown men in this band could come up with like 5 sentences to describe their project? a project they've been in since 2002? they can make a documentary, but they can't write a few sentences? they need a machine to do that for them?

do you think they'd be cool if I went out and made an ai model, trained it only using music they've created without asking them, and then passed off everything it shit out as my own? or would that count as theft and be wrong? gee. it's almost like that's what using ai does to every creative. it steals from drawings and paintings, music, written works, fucking anything.

but hey. I guess it's okay since it's not their work being stolen 🤷
