the Goodnight, and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow 20th anniversary celebrations have died down, these are already out there in one form or another but if you haven't heard them, here's some demos from the album, these are mostly just Mike getting these tracks down with guitar in like 2005. Idk I know I'm the specific stuff knower guy but there are limits
And here's 3 other tracks Mike / Let's Become Actors were messing around with around the same time, Mike wrote a lot of LBA stuff with The Brobecks potentially in mind. I'm not sure which other Bbecks play on these recordings
As always support the guys where you can, I believe some of these demos are available through the Whisperhawk Bandcamp page in Mike's Brobecks demo collection release, if it is still up.
Mike Gross has released new acoustic recordings of his songs off of Goodnight, and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow to bandcamp
Today is (probably) the 20th anniversary of Goodnight, and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow
The first CD release show for this album (that I am aware of) took place on April 15th, 2006, at where else but Kilby Court, followed by another on April 22nd at the Velour Live Music Gallery.
The only piece of interesting trivia I have for you about this release is that there seems to be two slightly different CD variants (or what some might call a printing error on certain copies) basically the cover art seems to have darker and lighter variants. Here's an example of both just ignore the other things I didn't crop from the picture of wow oh gosh my cool CDs don't look
Happy March Brobecks Days
For those not known as "knowers" Brobecks fan celebrate many unofficial holidays, the band has 2 songs titled March 1 and 2 and though I'm 99.9% certain this refers to a musical march and not the month (otherwise it would be called March 1st & 2nd) the community has still chosen to celebrate these tracks on the first two days of the month. March 2 is one of the best Brobecks songs ever written so you too should celebrate it. Here's some recordings you may not have heard before
This is an old old acoustic recording Mike did around when I first got into the ""fandom"" myself, this was removed from bandcamp an equally long time ago but I still have it because that's who I am.
This was a tape recorder version Mike did in 2022 that, and say this with me now, was removed from bandcamp and now it's here. We the audience are left to wonder why
This is the one Mike did for our lovely holiday last year, it was on bandcamp for a bit and then I think you maybe can guess what happened based on you not being able to go there and find it now. The more things change the more they stay the same. There's quite a few other recordings/remasters and whatevers of this song but I trust you know where to find those

Happiest Nuclear Winter (2005) vs. Happiest Nuclear Winter (2025)
I stole the last pic from twitter because I'm not opening mine because I have the brain worms
Today is the 20th Anniversary of Happiest Nuclear Winters release
The CD release show took place on January 22nd 2005 at Kilby Court with the bands ‘Tolchock Trio’, ‘Seve vs. Evan’ and ‘Murietta’, entry was $5. What were you doing?
Today is the 21st anniversary of Happiest Nuclear Winter
We are the nuclear winterlings
If you see my physical appearance during the Brobecks documentary screening tonight no you didn't also I have become a formless being made of vapors during the last year so it's not accurate anymore. I had the surgery, it went well thanks for asking
The Happiest Nuclear Winter remaster is up for sale on idkhow.com on vinyl and CD (for who knows how long)
This is the albums first time on Vinyl and they only did one run of the original CDs in 2005, so be there or be square (or don't cause I'm sure there will be reprints, even if it's maybe a different vinyl color. Unless they are allergic to money)
I have finally killed my Twitter account so I have to try and be more active here to fill the void it has left in me. I can't just cold turkey the doomscroll
