Bryce, Jonny and Wade| "Rugrats"
Jonny jumped when a sudden presence hopped into the seat across from him, plopping a coloring book of his own in front of him and coloring happily. "Uh, hi?" He said awkwardly. The boy looked up grinning from under a hat that resembled a monkey.
"Hi! I'm Wade!" He said happily, scribbling yellow over Winnie the Pooh's face..
"I'm Jonny," he smiled, seeing the potential to make a friend here.
"Nice to meet you," Wade smiled, swapping his yellow for a red. The tots colored in silence for a moment.
"Can I color with you guys?" They looked up at the young sandy haired boy beside the table, dressed in a button up shirt, a waistcoat and a tie, smiling pleasantly. Jonny gestured to the chair beside them.
"Go ahead."
"I'm Bryce Harkness," he said, taking a seat and picking out a Looney Tunes book and flipping through it.
"Jonny."
"Wade."
Silence again.
"So, um...what do your parents do?" Wade asked, the silence deafening and irksome to the hyperactive toddler.
"Well, um, my dads used to travel around a lot. They still do sometimes," he nodded. Wade cocked his head.
"Traveling? Doin' what?" Bryce wondered.
Jonny shrugged. "Hunting." Wade nodded, assuming there must be some kind of need for people to hunt for other people. "What about your parents?"
"My daddy Jack hunts aliens. And thad Ianto makes him coffee," Bryce said proudly, unaware that his Welsh moniker for his father was unknown to the other boys. "By the way, is there any coffee here?"
"No," Jonny chuckled. "Wade?"
Without missing a beat, Wade promptly said, "My dad shoots people in the head."
Jonny and Wade looked up from their work, staring at Wade's head. "That, uh..." Jonny said, giving Bryce a sideways glance. "That's nice."
"What does your mom do?" Bryce asked, almost afraid of the answer.
"Tells my dad to shoot people in the head," he nodded, finally meeting their eyes. "What?"
