I'm so happy with how this came out! Made it for the gw2 discord's carving competition. It took a long time, but it was worth it. My boy Brylox makes a beautiful jack-o-lantern.

Used this screenshot as my reference.

I really underestimated the size of the guide I printed out so it turned out super tiny on the pumpkin.

Got so many WIPs. The only finished picture I have of my characters is the old headshot of Chaskana in my icon.

Brylox has been through a lot of suffering, but he lives by the motto, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

He was killed in a Forged ambush with the rest of his Warband, save Chaskana, who made it out alive. Instead of being able to pass on into the mists, his soul was captured and fused into the metal body of a Forged Hookhead. He didn’t succumb easily to the forced servitude. The torture meant to make him fall in line only drove him to find ways to work around it. Instead of attacking innocent villagers, he turned his pent-up rage on the awakened forces in the Desolation. He would not lose sight of himself in that burning metal body.

One day, his world was turned upside down yet again. He was subdued and captured by a Sylvari and taken to the Chantry of Secrets where an agent loosened the chains that bound him and allowed his ghost to leave the metal confines. It was there he was reunited with his best friend, Chaskana, and the process towards reforging him a new body began.

I’ll leave it there for now. I’m still figuring out what information they needed to reforge him into a warhound jackal. So far, we’ve got a Charr, two Sylvari, and a Djinn with the combined knowledge of necromancy, a little golemancy, jackals, warclaws, forged, and the exalted. And it all combines to form a beautiful new body for my boy.
