Ryan opens his mouth and then closes it again, clearly unsure what to say and Blue takes the opportunity to ask, "you think she'd say yes if I asked her out?" Perhaps it's a little petty; he's not sure he's actually ready to try with anyone else yet, but the way Ryan had stormed in acting… well, acting a little jealous, now that Blue thinks about it, has his heart skipping a beat in ways it very much shouldn't be and he needs to do something about it, needs to nip it in the bud before he starts getting ideas. (He pretends not to know it's already too late for that.)
