what's your thoughts on the shorter films in the BS Johnson boxset, like Poem or Up Yours...? (Also, have you ever read any of his novels?)
I haven’t read any of his books and actually knew nothing about him until watching the BFI set. As with quite a few of the BFI’s Flipside series I kind of found the films more interesting than actually enjoyable, and I’m not really sure what I thought of them myself (I have to confess I haven’t even read the booklet which comes with the set yet!) I did like You’re Human Like The Rest of Them and Not Counting The Savages though.
