Hey so with the chapter 125.5 out i just need to remind you that Atsushi's mentally ill ass bases his worth on how well he can help people around him. That's like what his character is about, that's why he wanted to leave the agency and all, that's hey he doesn't understand Akutagawa all that well.

Seeing all the people that he cannot help must be torture. Aku is probably right, it's likely rather Fyodor knew that and used it to his advantage

see this chapter is also really important to the wider narrative for a few reasons. first of all the ADA returning is really significant because they really do have atsushi’s back. atsushi had to make a split-second decision to not save the people back at the airport and we can see the agony it is causing him. but the way the ADA jumps in and says “we got you. we trust you” is so !!!!!!!!!!! it’s just so good… it re-highlights the real goals of the ADA too which are to save innocent people (*cough* oda asking dazai to “be on the side that saves people”) also this could be a reach but the kunikida gives that woman a grenade so she can save herself. in the past kunikida was not able to save that little girl from a grenade. it’s like he’s still trying to make up for that somehow…

seeing Lucy and kyoka working together is also really dear to me because in the end they are both working to help atsushi… in the end their mutual care for atsushi wins out over any rivalry…

i just wanna talk a lil about the first panel... god atsushi looks stunning. the lidded eyes, the smirk/small smile............. how FOND he looks, how tired.. i literally need it tattooed on my soul. he knew it was a gamble, being cut down by amenogozen- but he still fucking did it for akutagawa, for the ada.. GOD I LOVE ATSUSHI

this is genuinely such a violently romantic-platonic gesture which is pretty on track for these fucking idiots.. but yeah excuse me while i go tweak out!!!!
