My first Impression of seeing the bloodstain for the first time was very surreal to me.” “I had recently come to terms that circumcision was a barbaric procedure and I didn’t know how to fully accept it. I was still in denial about how my penis was mutilated at birth and how I thought that the problems I have had was normal, it was far from normal.” “So, after the 2017 AAP protest I just started researching more, and the more I discovered the more pissed off I became. I finally told my wife Jessica Rigdon (who was already very verbal about circumcision) that the next BSM event we go to I am going to suit up in the Bloodstain!” ‘It was Saturday, April 28, 2018 when I put on the bloodstain suit for the very first time at the 2018 ACOG circumcision protest in Austin, TX. Olivia Chovan Jr. Protested in bloodstain at: Genital Integrity Awareness Week AAP Protest Washington DC Bloodstained Men & Their Friends and their Friends Midwest and Great Plains Tour Olivia Chovan has worked tirelessly to end the forced genital cutting of infants and children. She has traveled to Washington DC with her husband, Ryan Chovan and their three boys, multiple times. This is an issue that they are very passionate about. However, as many intactivists have found, intactivism can be very taxing to the body, mind and soul. At this time Ryan and Olivia are choosing to focus on each other and on their three sons. DJ D.j. Perkins Host of Bloodstained Men & Their Friends Texas Tours, 2015, 2016 Super Bowl 51 & 52 Circumcision Crisis Protest DJ Perkins and his wife Shannon Ostby Perkins have gone above and beyond to support the Bloodstained Men and their Friends. They have hosted the road crew multiple times. Their home is often the road crew’s home away from home, providing not only food and shelter, but also offering up their space to have protest signs shipped in and then assembled on their dining room table! And of course they always come out to protest on the streets as well. DJ first saw the bloodstained suit during the BSM Tornado Alley tour in March 2015. And right away he was inspired to wear it himself. His first time to wear the bloodstain was in Forth Worth, March 215. In DJ’s own words “My first thought when seeing the bloodstain was that it was a very effective symbol that demands notice. Meeting the guys when they stayed with us is what inspired me to wear the bloodstain. I had never seen people who were so motivated to share knowledge. The bloodstain is powerful symbol and as a cut man it’s a fantastic way to get the message across.” DJ speaks of ways he educates now: “it’s been a while since I’ve protested, my main form of advocacy right now is talking/educating about this subject with other students at my school.
