Unforgiving rain poured from the sky, making the roadways slick and reflective, perfect for a drunk, upset, unwitting archfey to get himself lost and hurt.
Finch huffed as he pulled his coat tighter against his body, he was soaked through and a chill was setting in 'If I don't find him soon ill have to head home and hope he's ok' his breath turning to a short-lived mist as he peered around a corner. 'Do I even have what I would need for a location spell?' Finch paused and rummaged through his pockets. Some lint, his spellbook, a pen, a pack of cigarettes, his phone, and the note Keiran had handed to him, not even a week ago during Lavinia's lecture.
"That'll do" he murmured heading for a thin stretch of covered walkway in front of a store, igniting some fire in his palm Finch pulled the note from his pocket. It was a crude drawing of Keiran himself blowing a raspberry at Lavinia, with a little doodle of Finch in the corner looking dreamily at the little Keiran, rubbing his thumb over the corner of the page with a small almost amused huff Finch lit the note and cast his spell.
A cold breeze whipped around him as he muttered the words the faint glow fading from his eyes as he stopped looking around waiting for his sign. It was dark, the pounding rain filled his ears and all he could see was the reflecting streetlamps and buildings. Finch was startled when a bright little wisp rushed up to him, nearly bumping into his face. He watched it a moment and it bobbed in the air before rushing off down the street. Shoving his hands in his pockets, Finch followed after it being careful not to slip. The rain once again beat down on his head as he did his best to keep pace with the wisp as it dashed around a corner several feet ahead of him. "Keiran!" Finch called turning another corner almost tripping over someone as the Wisp disappeared.
"Hey" his voice was so quiet that Finch almost missed it under the rain, with a sigh Finch looked down at the legs he had nearly tripped on but a moment before. "What happened to you?" Finch asked crouching down to look him over, he was holding his side, no doubt soaking wet, and he just quite frankly looked upset. "I got stabbed" he mumbled lifting the hand from his side. "You Got Stabbed?!" Finch almost yelled "why didn't you call someone" his knees hit the pavement with a small splash causing Keiran to flinch.
Finch took hold of his hand, the blood slowly washing away with the rain, using his free hand he went to pull out his phone, Keiran giving his hand a squeeze drew his attention back to the Idiot. "I already took care of it" he shrugged pulling Finch's hand to his chest "why are you laying in a dark alley, while it's pouring down rain?" Finch asked "got stabbed, fell over, wanted to lay down for a bit, its pretty simple really" Keiran chuckled "Cute that you came looking for me though, does my prince want a reward for saving me?" Finch scoffed "nows not really the time to get flirty, did you even bring a coat with you?" Keiran shook his head and sat up reaching to brush some loose hair off of Finches face.
"We should get you somewhere dry," he said with a sigh moving to stand so he could help Keiran up but was cut short when the elf pressed a kiss to his forehead "thanks" he started, pressing his forehead to Finch's "for finding me" he mumbled, avoiding eye contact, "Course" the mage mumbled standing before helping Keiran up "Can I stay with you again?" the question was soft, his voice gentle, scared at the notion Finch wouldn't want him. Finch squeezed Keirans arm gently "Yeah, I have some stuff you can change into too" he offered, pulling the shorter man close.

"Come now I know you hit harder than that"
Sienna chuckled under her breath as she bounced the hilt of her wooden sword against Oz's shield, his face was flushed, but honestly so was hers she brought her sword down on his shoulder the wood thunking against his armor.
"And I know you're going easy on me"
Another breathy chuckle from Sienna as she dodges out of the way of Oz's own practice sword.
"I can play dirty if you want me to, but I thought you only played Fair"
"I do, but it's not like you'll kill me"
"How do you know that"
and with a devious grin, Sienna smacked the flat of her sword against Oz's thigh, a shock of divine might surge through the Satyr sending him stumbling forward.
"Now that just ain't fair"
Oz stands at his full height again, only an inch or two shorter than her, Meeting her gaze he reaches out and bumps his fist against her shoulder, sending a jolt of pain through her in return, when she didn't react he huffed and stepped away brushing his bangs out of his face, Sienna extended the same courtesy to herself, she was sweaty as well standing out in the hot sun and sparing was never a clean affair, the both of them could use a break.
"Wanna head inside?"
"We should take a break"
Sienna and Oz Spoke at the same time, causing a bout of awkward chuckles between them
"How long have you been out here, you've been sparring since before we left"
Cyr and Levi approach together, drinks in hand, Alba must have been somewhere inside.
"Feels like it too"
Oz pipes up taking one of the drinks Cyr offered him, it was a pretty light purple color and he seemed apprehensive to try it out. Sienna thanked Levi when he handed her the second one he had, swirling it around before taking a long sip of the cold beverage.
"Good Lemonade"
She offered Cyr looked up at her with a grin.
"Thanks"
"What'd you get at the market"
Oz asks after taking a long drink of his own, starting toward the door. Cyr started talking about the things she and Levi had gotten for dinner, walking with Oz back towards the house.
"Thank you for letting me stay, by the way, I dont remember having said it"
Sienna said finishing off her drink.
"Oh, dont worry about it, it's nice having you around"
Levi offered back smiling at her, taking a few steps ahead of her towards the door, following his friends.
"Honestly I'm glad I didn't die in that cave, I am, not fond enough of spiders to die for that cause"
Sienna chuckles again, reaching for the door before Levi had the chance, to hold it open for him.
"It's a good thing you didn't Kill Oz or I would've put you in the ground"
Cyr responds with a chuckle of her own
"I have no doubt about that"
"I dont appreciate that you would've let me die before you tried to save me"
"I didn't say that, besides you were doing your little Paladin honor duel or whatever, I like you enough to save you before you're in dire"
Cyr jabbed Oz in the leg with her fist.
"I'm going to check on Alba"
Sienna said, leaning into Levi for a moment before splitting off from the group. Checking her bedroom first, Sienna did not find the group's beloved wizard, checking the library next, finding her buried in a stack of tomes, was not an abnormal occurrence by far.
"Cyr and Levi are back from the market"
Sienna says causing Alba to jump, slamming closed the book in her hand, for a porcelain doll she looked shocked.
"That is good to hear, are they asking for me"
"No, but I figured you'd want to see them"
Alba stared, or what Sienna amounted to staring, at the taller elf for a good long while.
"Would you like to come downstairs or should I tell them you're busy reading... The Rangers Quest"
Sienna could count on her fingers the number of times she had seen Alba flustered of all things, It was harder to tell with her, but with the right words, in the right situation it could happen, and Sienna considered herself lucky to have witnessed it more than once. Shoving the book under a pillow on the sofa beside her Alba stood hands gripping her skirt.
"I was doing no such thing, and I will, come down and see them"
Sienna grinned as Alba stepped past her own head Lowered, Ollie still perched on her shoulder. Sienna followed her down the stairs, probably overall for the best, if she hadn't who knows what would have happened to Alba when she rolled her ankle on the stone stairway.
"Woah there careful"
Sienna said Hoisting the Porcelain woman into her arms with ease after she stumbled on the stairs.
"Dont want you getting hurt"
If it was possible for Alba to be flushed Sienna was almost certain that Alba would be it, when they reached the bottom of the stairs the elf set the doll gently on her feet and followed after her towards the kitchen in search of their friends.
Alba sat at the small table off to the side, greeting the others as they resumed their conversation, Sienna herself making her way towards Levi at the counter.
"Need help?"
Sienna offered leaning against the counter, besides where he was chopping vegetables for whatever soup he had water boiling for,
"Yeah, I still have to dice the carrots and Potatoes"
"On it"
Grabbing a knife from the block Sienna got to work chiming in every once in a while to the conversation when it felt right as she worked away, peeling them dicing, and so forth.
"So uh, how did you get hired by those Lolthites"
Cyr asks leaning on her hands, as watches Sienna drop potatoes into the soup.
"Saved a caravan of them from Bandits, they probably could've handled it themselves, but y'know, protect the innocent, the leader decided the extra muscle would be valuable even if I wasn't with their beloved spider, and paid me handsomely to get them to the cave and to guard them against anything that wanted in or out, Got preached at a few times, but overall not the worst thing I've done for money, though it was better before you came and carved me up a bit"
Sienna shrugged, Oz laughed a little, leaning back against the counter, staying out of Levi's way as he finished up prepping the soup.
"Fair enough, I'm glad you're here now, Oz could use the help"
"Hey, at least I can hit something half the time"
"Hey at least I can heal the whole party of all their aches and pains with a single spell, and can give us a delicious and extremely good breakfast at almost the drop of a hat"
"Hurtful"
Sienna chuckled to herself and moved to take a seat next to Oz patting him once on the back.
"Eh, When you get to my level your lay on hands is pretty good, not to sneeze at what Cyr can do, a good and proper Cleric is a rare commodity"
Levi moved around to sit with Cyr, waving Alba over to sit with the rest of them it took her a second, giving each of them a passing glance, before moving her chair to sit at the end, between Sienna and Cyr.
"So Alba..."
Cyr started, an almost cat-like grin spreading over her face.
"What uh... what were you reading, you were *very* engrossed by it when I went to check on you earlier"
Alba looked Shocked again, and quickly looked between Sienna and Cyr, Sienna chuckled to herself and leaned back in her seat rocking back onto the back legs of the sturdy wooden chair.
"I think I saw something about a ranger on the cover"
Levi and Oz seemed to put it together at the same time, the two of them suddenly more interested in the conversation, Alba on the other hand looked like she wanted to run, maybe set the floating keep on fire in the process.
"I have no idea what you are talking about"
Alba said looking intently down at her lap, fidgeting with the ends of her skirt to straighten it out,
"did... did you buy that... romance novel when we were in Clydesdale"
Oz spoke up leaning his Elbows on the table,
"From what I gather its less romance more... Intimacy"
Sienna postured looking over at the Satyr, with a wolfish grin of her own on her face, Levi stood to go stir the soup, effectively exiting the awkward conversation.
"I would never purchase such... vulgar material, and I would appreciate it if we didn't speak about such things before supper"
"Suppers still a bit out Darlin, fess up, you were reading that trashy, horribly vulgar, smut book"
Cyr pressed leaning closer to Alba in her seat.
Alba looked to Sienna and Oz for assistance, Sienna simply shaking her head, Oz seeming more interested in his drink overall.
"Fine ill go find it later, I *just* wanted to know if I could borrow it after you're done"
Cyr said with a chuckle shrugging her shoulders, reaching for her own drink, still grinning.
Sienna suddenly felt a pang in her chest, it hurt ever so slightly to see them all happy like this despite what they had to face, and what they have faced, she felt a bit guilty herself over the happiness battling back the feeling in her own chest, Smile barely faltering for a moment, she took a long sip of the drink on the table in front of her and waved away her guilt, allowing herself to enjoy the moments with them, to enjoy the calm before the inevitable storm they would face, and she hoped she would be there to get them through it.
