Taking everything that had happened into consideration, it had occurred to Eva that she and Jackson’s relationship had definitely gotten off on the wrong foot. That wasn’t good, considering how much she had found she actually liked him in such a relatively short amount of time, and she knew she needed to pull out all the stops tonight. She’d never had to woo a guy before, mostly because she’d never cared to, so she had no idea what she was doing here, but she was going to do it regardless. Starting with her outfit. Eva knew how hot she’d looked the other night when Jackson had caught her coming home from her escort date, and she knew she needed to look even better tonight. She didn’t want her boyfriend thinking she put more effort into her fake dates than she did for him, so with Brianna’s assistance, she’d picked out one of her cutest dresses — she wasn’t exactly going for hot, she was going more for charming tonight — and had fixed her hair and makeup accordingly. The weather was great, as usual, so she’d forgone a jacket, and had just loaded her wallet and keys into a small purse that she hung over her shoulder, grabbed the tulips that Bri had gone out and gotten for her, then was ready to go.

Being the one doing the wooing tonight, she made sure Jackson knew she was gonna be picking him up from his house, and had made sure to drive over there to be there before seven. Not too soon before, but she wanted to be on time, or even early. By the time she’d gotten to the frat house, it was just before seven, and Eva considered for a moment going to the door. Considering she was carrying a bunch of tulips, though, she wasn’t trying to embarrass her boyfriend, so instead she just grabbed the flowers and climbed out of her car, standing beside it and taking out her phone. Your carriage awaits, sir. (I'm outside), she typed into a text to him, hit send, then all she had to do was wait for Jackson to come and join her. She’d gotten them reservations at one of the restaurants on the waterfront, which she’d been pretty proud of herself for, considering it was Mother’s Day and she’d called the place pretty last minute, but they’d had a table for two available, so that worked out well. As she waited, she occupied herself by scrolling through Instagram on her phone, the tulips held down by her side in her free hand, and not paying attention to whether Jackson was coming out yet or not.
