Description: Trashbag Graham is less trash for once. Autumn writes a para. Hell freezes over.

If Graham three months ago saw Graham right now, he’d deck him. He became one of those sappy losers hung up on puppy love far too quickly, not that he’d ever admit it, or was even aware of how bad it’d gotten. But he was blinded by heart eyes, there was no other way to put it.

Everyone else knew, it was kinda obvious, he couldn’t hide it if he tried. From the way his eyes lit up when he talked about her to the mere fact that he spent most of the party last night taking care of her rather than drinking. It was no wonder Lexi was basically screaming in his face “YOU LOVE HER, YOU IDIOT” every chance she got. Now, with his overwhelming desire to give her his Sigma letters and give them to her now made it official. He was like, you know, in love with her, or whatever. 

She knew it too, of course she did. It was all a matter of waiting for him to catch up and figure out what the rest of the school already knew. But he couldn’t just casually tell her. Not after making her wait weeks for him to feel the same. It wasn’t that simple anymore, and she deserved more than that. At least he thought she did. Look what she was putting up with. Loving him was no picnic.

Actually a picnic would’ve been a good place to do it, but it wasn’t very them. Or wasn’t very him. No, luring her into a private skate date was the perfect way to go. She didn’t expect a thing. It was reminiscent of one of their first dates, very cheesy, she always reacted well to cheesy. Plus there was something especially romantic about wrapping his arms around her and teaching her to shoot a puck. Attempting to, anyway.

“It’s moving, that’s something. You hit it, it’s not gonna make it halfway to the goal, but hey I didn’t have to catch you this time. You’ll be going pro with me at this rate.” It was hard to seem sincere through uncontrollable laughter, but after a handful of swings and misses, and a fall or two, it was hard to stop himself. “You’re totally a natural.”

She was smiling, not complaining about how cold it was yet, and surprisingly not ranting about the benefits of proper packing techniques. It felt like as good a time as any to do it. And honestly he was getting nervous. It was a bigger deal than he was letting himself believe, and if he didn’t do it soon, he probably wouldn’t do it at all. “Soo, where do you stand on surprise gifts?” He asked, not at all subtlety, as he skated over to get the puck. “Like say I have something for you right now, should I wait for after finals or our next monthiversary or..”
