funniest thing to me is when someone draws a bedframe and mattress super thin like you are sleeping on straight 💯🔥 NOTHING
kiki (ki;) hit a pocket knife with a hammer for 6 of god's own minutes trying to get it to close and all she had to do was close the little lock thingy that keeps it open
The sun filtered in through the glass panes, lighting up the dust of the shadowed room around my paws. The room was bright- every colour imaginable in sight, though green reigned supreme. I pulled the curtains back a little more and pulled up my watering pail, old and passed down to me from a good friend in the Jade Forest. The tin was painted white with carrots and poppies in fresh colours over it, though the paint was as old as the pail and was starting to crack and chip away. I brought it outside and filled it from the well pump and saw the three B's walk up to me on the cobblestones.
"Heya, Mad! You're up early!" The gnome grinned at me with rosy cheeks, her blonde hair in cute little piggietails. The overalls she wore had grass stains on the knees and daffodils in its pockets.
The creature next to her, a lovely swarm of wasps the gnome had called Bees, was wearing a similar outfit, though they seemed to be shoving pebbles into their pockets. After they did so they looked up at me and gave a small wave. It was a wonder how Bis had trained them to take shape and move like this. "Madhava! Good to see you." How good they were at Common was unsettling, to say the least, but I waved back and nodded as to be polite.
The taller one, a human, seemed rather bored with the affair. She didn't wear as her friends did, instead opting for dark brown slacks and a loose, light brown tunic, a dusky brown derby, and a fine pair of black shoes. She acknowledged my presence, but said nothing.
"Yes, well. Mahd assumed the flowers were thirsty... and they are! Mahd will make tea in the hour, yes?" I picked up my pail and brought them inside. Bees grabbed a broom as they entered, sweeping up the dust and dirt that I had likely tracked in. I pinned my ears back in embarrassment, but Bis patted me on the leg. "Mahd sorry about-”
"Don't you worry about a thing! Bees and Bs and I got everything else taken care of! Just do your thing!" Bis was so happy and bright all the time, I couldn't help but smile back at her. "I'll take care of the customers if we get any, okay?"
I nodded. "Y-Yes! Thank you... Mahd appreciates it." I patted her head, making sure to be gentle, and I headed back into the greenhouse. The smell alone filled me with happiness, let alone seeing all of the varieties of flowers. I made sure to check the soil of each before watering them to make sure they had the proper amount of moisture. Through the open door, I could hear the B-Team talking to one another.
"Do you really think that this idea is going to work? Who will even come out here? Pretty, sure, but we're practically in the middle of nowhere," the human said. I worried about the same thing, but even if we had no customers the upkeep was minimal, and selling flowers in the city would make enough profit to pay the taxes.
"No where? But this is eversummer! We can grow anything here. It's perfect," Bees rebutted. Not exactly correct, but it was true that with the longer growing season we could get more done.
"Good for the plants, but what about the café? No customers, no reason for me to be here," Bs said. It seemed she really didn't want to be here.
"Come on, wouldn't it be nice? Plus, you get paid even if there's no customers, so I don't want to hear it. You get free food and a nice place to relax on the weekends!" Bis was always one to make light of a situation.
I was just about done, and I set my watering pail down by the door. I peeked my muzzle out of the doorway and looked around the corner. Bis and Bs were making some sort of pastry together, while Bees cleaned the windows. With a smile I head over, bringing out a tea kettle, and I hummed a folk song as I started making a tea for us to share.
