What is your total word count on AO3?
Almost every single day...except for a few days after I post a new chapter/story because my brain is in meltdown-mode by then and needs to recharge!
Do you have a routine for writing?
Coffee, cigs, and sometimes ASMR videos...then WRITING.
What’s your favourite kinks/tropes/pairing?
Kink: D/s (when it’s written by someone who obviously understands the dynamic and the importance of SSC), consent is big, manhandling (esp if grace/powers are in play), and the occasional ABO fic
Trope: Time-travel fixits, canon-divergent AUs, de-aging, crossover/fusion, hurt/comfort...umm, does “trauma recovery” count as a trope?
Pairing: Sabriel and Sastiel are my main two, although I appreciate a good Samifer (in AUs or alt s5 stories)...pretty much all my ships revolve around Sam.
Do you have a favourite fic of yours?
From BTGOG, I’m pretty proud of “The Valley of the Shadow.” It’s the first one where I really had to juggle a LOT of different perspectives for characters in different locations, and got to bring in Raphael and Michael. Honestly, everything leading up to this story was introduction--establishing Sam’s new status as a fledgling, bringing in Gabriel, and starting to cement their relationships/roles. “TVotS” was where the plot for the series really took off.
I’ve only done three stand-alone stories outside BTGOG, and it’s hard to pick a fav...they’re all pretty different: a timetravel fixit, a coda, and a domestic day-at-a-festival. I may have to go with “Hold Tight” because it was the most personal for me--I wrote about my own experiences about being an LGBTQAI person and what it’s like existing in public with your partner when you live in a region that does not tolerate you.
Your fic with the most kudos?
“After the Storm” currently has 594 kudos and 10396 hits
Anything you don’t like about your writing?
I’ve seen a huge change in my writing since I started BTGOG and have written almost daily for a year and a half. I’ve developed a much stronger style and know what I want more. Looking back at the first few stories in the series, I see giant errors that I want to go back and fix (like inconsistant POVs...and maybe stretching the time that passes...so it doesn’t all happen in a day or two lol).
Now, something you do like!
I love writing emotions and exploring characters from different POVs. Getting to know these characters from the inside-out and then seeing them from the perspective of a totally different character...IS AMAZING.
And WORLDBUILDING!!! I freaking LOVE worldbuilding and I’m pretty proud of what I’ve created within the BTGOG!verse.
