Despite his aversion to vampires, Edgar has been Circe's devoted sidekick (and primary target of never-ending teasing) for twenty years now.
Burn the Midnight Oil is a supernatural neon-noir romance visual novel about monsters, love, and other horrors. Set in eighties North Haven, where supernaturals hide in plain sight amongst the endless crime and parties, our protagonists Circe and Dante must solve strange cases that threaten to reveal their own dangerous secrets.
hello ! i saw you previously answer the preferred positions for characters on Dante’s route and was wondering about the same thing but for the characters on Circe’s route…
For Nocturne and Circe, we answered the question here. Answering the guys under cut due to slight NSFW.
I'm sure some people want to know if Circe pegs the guys ☠️
The answer is, probably not for Edgar. I don't think he's adventurous enough, and there's already a lot of other things (that he'd enjoy once he's more comfy w the idea of them) that Circe would need to introduce him to. He's definitely the more submissive in the relationship and in the bedroom, but depending on certain choices you make, he might take more charge!
Abraxas has not been as adventurous as Circe, as he's never been with anyone as a vampire, but he was freaky back in the day (for the time). 😉 He'd be more open-minded to trying things that he usually wouldn't consider w anyone else if Circe suggests them. He'd also push back a lot more against Circe trying to lead, but depending on certain choices you make, he'll either try to lead himself or eventually let Circe take charge.
Being a socially awkward workaholic has made it difficult for Edgar to make (and keep) friends.
Nonetheless, his loyalty has gained him Circe’s trust… and perhaps something more? 🧡
Edgar is one of six love interests in Burn the Midnight Oil, a supernatural romance visual novel coming to Kickstarter later this year! Sign up to our pre-launch page.
I just finished the Btmo demo, playing like Circe and loving it! How you built the characters, the atmosphere and the dialogue, but especially Edgar, I can't wait to be able to make his love story! I already love him! You're doing a great job and I want to know all the updates! ❤️❤️ And since I'm here I also wanted to ask a question: please tell me that we can take some bites from him 🥹
Edgar's a little shy about the vampire stuff (yes we know it's been twenty years but he's a slow burner, ok?) so you might have to wait a minute, but the chance will come (or will it...?)😉
Feel free to not answer since it's a little sensitive but I was wondering how Edgar would react to his colleagues orientations given that he's a straight man in the 80s?
No worries about the question!
I can’t say too much because this is actually something we do delve into in Edgar’s route! But his older sister was the first queer person he knew, so by the time Edgar meets Circe and the others, he’s not as ignorant and a bit more understanding.
