Kylie Minogue leads my monthly Most Played Singles as “Magic” lifts 3-1 to become the Australian Icon’s 8th #1 on my list. “Magic” leads with a total of 35 streams accumulated last month, +59% compared to the month before last.

Ariana Grande collects her 14th and 15th Top 10 hits as “Positions” debuts at #2 with 29 streams, while “34+35” debuts at #9 with 15 streams.

Jessie Ware’s former 3-month #1 “What’s Your Pleasure?” treats 2-3 with 24 streams, –8%, while “Save A Kiss” inches up 5-4 with streams, +16%.

Russian 14-piece former-ska-punk-now-pop band Leningrad”s first #1 “Фотосессия (Photo Session)” descends 1-5 with 19 streams & off-line plays, –56%.

Fiona Apple’s 2-time Grammy nominee “Shameika” rises 12-6 in its 6th month charting with 16 streams, +33%.

Holy Ghost!’s “Heaven Knows What” soars 33-7 with 15 streams, +67%, & becomes the indie synthpop-duo’s 16th Top 10.

Michael Kiwanuka’s “Rolling” slips 4-8 with 15 streams, -21%.

Aluna’s “Envious” rises 14-10 with 14 streams, +17%.

December Albums

Ariana Grande leads my monthly Most Streamed Albums with “Positions,” which debuts at #1 and becomes the pop star’s very first leader on my list. “Positions” starts atop with 202 total streams accumulated last month, the highest total since ODESZA’s “A Moment Apart” debuted at #1 with 203 streams in October 2017.

Kylie Minogue’s “DISCO” debuts at #2 with a 150 streams, which is normally more than enough for #1, while her last year’s greatest hits compilation “Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection” falls 1-7 with 46 streams, -61%.

Jessie Ware’s “What’s Your Pleasure?” – Most Played Album of 2020 – slips 2-3 with 97 streams accumulated last month, +13% compared to the month before last.

A 60th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition of jazz musician John Coltrane’s fifth studio album “Giant Steps” flips back 5-4 with 56 streams, –2%.

BT’s first #1 “The Lost Art of Longing” rebounds 8-6 with 47 streams, -4%.

The Boss is back in my Top 10: Bruce Springsteen’s “Letter To You” rises 12-8 with 44 streams, +33%.

Diana Krall’s “This Dream Of You” falls 3-9 with 42 streams, -47%.

Michael Kiwanuka’s “KIWANUKA” – The Hyundai Mercury 2020 Album of the Year winner – falls 4-10 with 41 streams.
