[Translation] Eunkwang's Interview with Ceci

I posted 4 translations (Thai-Eng) yesterday, and just posted 3 more with this being the last one. I'm aware that there are at least two other versions out there, but due to my hesitation to edit someone else's work, I decided to just do it from scratch. I apologize for the spam, but I hope I was able to give clearer interpretation of their interview.

Hello I'm Seo Eunkwang (in Thai) I'm the leader of BTOB. I'm a kind person and I don't get angry easily. But I think I should start being mad at others now, that is because sometimes it's worth being angry over. Starting from the members, watch out, if I become angry I will show you what I can do! (laughs)

The member that is adorable and the most obedient?

Changsub. We're very close because we studied together. He would listen to me and try to help me with being a good leader when I explain to the members what to do. He will pay attention and remind others that they should follow what the leader said. (Ceci: does that mean he's the real leader then?) No no no no, that's not it. Because if i were to tell him not to do something, he won't!

The member that gives you a hard time?

Ilhoonie. He does what he wants, when I tell him to do certain things he doesn't really listen. And that's because he's often busy doing something else, which causes him to make mistakes. So with Ilhoon I have a special way of dealing with him. You have to act as if you dealing with a child, you need to remind him often and nag him a lot.

Special moment as a group?

I can remember our debut stage vividly. Before going on stage, we stood together and said that it's about to begin, let's all work hard together. It is very memorable moment that I will never forget.

What type person or situation would anger you?

Other than my younger brother I've never been made at someone. Oh..I was mad at myself though. When I don't do well during practice I would be angry. I would be frustrated and angry at myself. And when I lose at a game I also become angry. When I was younger, when I played games and got angry I would smash the keyboard to release that anger. As I got older, I smashed the wall. (Ceci: it doesn't hurt?) Of course it hurts. I can't let it out on others so I had to let it out on myself, but I don't do that now.

A girl who would catch your attention?

I like girly/feminine girls. Have you seen the movie Bandage? The one with Han Hyojoo as the female lead. I like that type of girl. Someone who is very feminine, but must be kind hearted as well.

Do you want to say anything to your members?

Ilhoon, it'd be great if you pay attention more! (laughs) I'm glad that us seven have gathered to become BTOB, and as the leader I will try with all my might for our band to become more famous and put out good music.

Impressions about Thailand

Tomyumgoong. The first time I tried it, I was very surprised with the smell and taste. Every country has a dish that has a unique smell, Japanese, Korean food too, and for Thai food that is Tomyumgoong. I had trouble the first time I tasted it, but during this trip, I plan to try again and finish it too!

Hello I'm Minhyuk of BTOB, the rapper and vocalist of the group. I'm capable of doing a lot of other things, I excel at exercising as well. To conclude, I'm an idol capable of doing anything, good at everything! (laughs)

You have a cute and adorable image, were there any cute little incidents you caused?

Honestly I don't want to talk about this much, I'm shy and embarrassed but…when I'm done showering and look into the mirror, I would think to myself "how handsome" and then go "wait, what was i thinking! but I'm actually very cute!" (embarrassed) "I'm cho~ cuuuute" "i love you" "am i cute?" (last 3 phrases spoken in Thai) But truthfully speaking, guys don't think of themselves as cute, it's more about being handsome.

Manliest part of your personality?

Perseverance and self-control. When I'm angry I can control myself instead of letting it out on other people. When I'm in a hurry I am able to calm myself down as if I'm not in a hurry. And if I'm in a fight with someone, I may be willing to lose.

Is there a life goal that you intend on achieving no matter what?

I've never thought about it before. But it is probably something like buying a house and car for my parents. As for my current goal, would be for our group to reach the top groups/bands of Korea.

What do girls need to do to catch your attention?

I like women who seduce, give me a look, smile then ignore me. And I show interest she will push me away. As in seduce me to get my attention and then play hard to get, forcing me to have to try hard. I think it's interesting and challenging.

Is there something in a woman that you absolutely can't stand?

Stubbornness, competitiveness, never losing to others.

Impressions about Thailand

The beautiful hotel we're at every time we come, sometimes I think to myself "am I really allowed to use this room?" (laughs) and yes, Padthai and watermelon smoothie, it's very delicious.

Hello I'm Changsub of BTOB. This is my third time in Thailand. Truthfully speaking I want to stay here longer, but unfortunately I only have 3 days. I am a nice person and I don't get mad easily, but if I do get mad, I can explode (laughs).

What are you most proud of?

I am a well mannered and polite child.

You have talent in composing, singing, and drums, what type of music that you want to try out in particular?

All types of music. But right now I want really want to try jazz. That is because jazz is different from what I have worked with. And ballads or dance music are genres that I have never studied or tried before. The sounds of musical instruments in jazz are also very interesting. I want to study about it first before experimenting with it. That's because to be capable of composing jazz music you need to learn first; this will help me improve myself even more.

Pick one member and 5 things to go with you, if you were to be stuck on a deserted island.

I choose Sungjae. That's because he is the tallest and strongest member so I can use him to fish and hunt food to eat. Also, the leaf pants of a marooned person would suit him well (laughs). As for objects, it would be mobile phone, toothbrush, tanning lotion, gun and one more gun. That is because I like to brush my teeth, I can't live without it. The first gun I will use it to protect myself from dangerous animals, and the other is there in case the first one doesn't work. I am well prepared!

The privilege of being your girlfriend?

My great love for her, a love that is strong, serious and eternal. Sacrifice love (said in English).

Impressions about Thailand?

Tomyumgoong. Oh and I've been to the swimming pool during the evening. Watermelon smoothie too, it's so delicious that I can't stop thinking about it. We usually drink watermelon smoothies during the day, but I had the chance to drink it during the evening by the pool side. I was really impressed by that.

Hello, I'm Hyunsik the main vocal of BTOB. I'm a positive thinker, I think about good things. Usually I may seem quiet and reserved but actually I am funny (serious face). I'm just not the type to try hard to create the atmosphere for others to have fun or laugh. I'm more of the type to go with the flow, but I'm funny!

The members vote you as the manliest in the group.

Probably because I have a big build and I'm the strongest.

Manliest part of your personality?

I'm a straightforward type of person. Im clear about what I like and don't like. I don't like it, I won't say it's okay.

Heard you saw a ghost at CUBE?

That is true. It was really late and I was alone in the practice room. I heard a sound like someone was going to open the door, so I opened it but I didn't see anyone. (Ceci: Was it a prank?) Nope I don't think so. It was really late and no one was there, I was definitely alone. But I'm not scared of ghost. I believe that there's ghosts, but I'm not scared. I actually want to see one upfront. Like when I'm home alone I hear weird noises, sometimes when I sleep I feel like someone is with me. But it's only things like that, I've never actually faced one before.

What do you think of six pack and muscles?

(smiles) Every time I look at my six pack in the mirror, I would suddenly have strength.

What type of girl catches your attention?

A straight forward person. Sincere and honest. Expresses herself well, like this (tilts his head and gives a look)

Impressions about Thailand

My parents had their honeymoon in Thailand. I myself have traveled to lots of places since I was young but I never had the chance to come to Thailand. Until my friends who play golf came here to play golf and said that Thailand is awesome. So I wanted to come, I did, and I like it very much. The first time I came with the members. Before that I had planned to come with friends, but due to intense training I didn't have the chance. The friends just ditched me and came to Thailand first, how sad (laughs).

Please introduce yourself and your personal charm

Hello, I'm Yook Sungjae the maknae of the band. I'm the type that is shy at first. I won't talk much when meeting people the first few times, but after we become close I will have the courage to talk, and would talk a lot. I will be friendly, playful, and smile a lot.

What's the advantage of being the maknae in BTOB?

The hyungs love me because I'm cute, playful, and affectionate. It's okay when I make mistakes, and the hyungs won't criticize.

The down side of being the maknae?

No one thinks I'm the maknae. If I sit still without smiling, everyone thinks I'm old!

You like to pull pranks on your hyungs, can you tell us about it?

With the other hyungs I don't really dare to play harsh pranks because they are older than me. But there is Ilhoon who get's pranked often because there isn't much age gap. When Ilhoon sleeps, I will go sleep next to him and try to wake him up. Another person would be Peniel because he's American he isn't serious about the age gap, but rather sees everyone as friends. So for this reason  I can pull pranks on him. Peniel doesn't really know Korean so I will teach him the wrong words on purpose, words that can't be aired on TV (laughs)

If girls want to be close to you, what must they do?

I'm an easygoing person. Laid back. It's not hard at all, just don't lie. Be sincere and honest, oh and pretty too (whispers whilst smiling with shyness). I don't have an ideal type for the girl's appearance, but I want to meet someone like my mom. My mom is pretty and a good cook. Any girl who knows they're like my mom please call!

Anything you want to say to your hyungs?

Sometimes I'm playful and pull pranks on them too much. Thank you for taking care of me and forgiving me when I make mistakes. You have all changed me into better person, thank you.

Impression of Thailand?

Thai food is delicious, for instance Tomyum goong. I thought it was going to be similar to the Korean dish Doenjang jjigae made from fermented soybeans. So when I first tried it I took a big spoonful, but when it went into my mouth I was quite surprised with the smell. But when I continued to eat I understood why Thai people like it. It really is delicious like Doenjang jjigae. I also like Padthai and watermelon smoothie as well.
