⚠️ BTS does a Daesang Sweep at the 2020 Melon Music Awards
BTS achieves a complete sweep of all 3 Daesangs at the 2020 MMAs, and won a total of 7 out of 9 awards in which they were nominated. They took home trophies for:
🏆 Artist of the Year (Daesang)
🏆 Album of the Year (Daesang) - MOTS: 7
🏆 Song of the Year (Daesang) - Dynamite
🏆 Netizen Popularity Award
🏆 Best Dance Track (Male) - Dynamite
🏆 Top 10 Artist (Bonsang)
🏆 Best Rock (Eight by IU feat. SUGA)
By association, BTS also won in one other category, with BTS' choreographer Son Sungdeuk winning 🏆 Best Performance Director for "Dynamite".
The two awards they lost out on were Best Pop, where BTS' "Savage Love Remix" lost to Sam Smith's "To Die For" and Best Rap/Hiphop, where BTS' "ON" lost to "I'mma Do" by Yumdda etal.

With tonight's 3 Daesangs at the MMAs, BTS extends their record as the Artist with the most Daesangs in KPop history, with 47 career total so far.
According to an article on the subject published by koreaboo.com, dated Sept. 22, 2020, next to BTS, the other KPop acts with the most number of Daesangs to date are: EXO (21), Twice (12) and Big Bang (10).
