BTS Album App Progress

It took a hot minute but I think I finally figured out what the issue was with the database so that's not screaming at me anymore.

I've got a lot of the screens set up now. here are the layouts for some of the screens. The formatting is not finalized so they arent the prettiest but it's progress.

Database Works In The App

I finally got the database to work with android studio. the files arent quite where I would like them to be in the assets folder, but that's an issue for another day.

The SQLite database can be queried and updated successfully from user actions. now I need to make sure the app refreshes its data when there is an update

Database System For My BTS Album Tracking App.

Since there is a lot of data that remains unchanged by the user such as the track, and MV lists and the basic album information I am using both an XML and a SQLite database.

The XML will store all static information, while the SQLite database will store all the variable information such as the variable storing if the user owns an album, or the photocard value, and image path.

The schema for the SQLite and the general layout of the XML can be seen below. This may change as I go and I realize a better solution.

Feature Suggestions For My BTS App

So I'm writing an app that will allow the user to track what BTS albums they own, which versions of the albums, and the photocards. If anyone stumbles upon this I would love some input on a feature.

Should I allow the user to select more than one photocard per album if they are collecting them, or should I keep it as one, like what they pulled from their initial album?

Also, should I add another section of the app to track any additional photo cards they have? like ones from other merch?

Initial Layout

This is a basic layout of some of the main screens and menus that will be implemented in the album tracking app.

whenever a list of albums is displayed it will be like the layout in the top left. square is a button with the album cover on it.

There will be multiple collections of albums, the user's collection, all the main albums, all the Japanese albums, and their solo work and mixtapes.

I’ve decided to write an android app that can be used to track all the BTS albums I own so I always know what I have and what photocards I’ve pulled.  I’ve got nothing better to do in my unemployment so why not right :)

I’m also going to document the process on my tumblr blog just for funsies.
