buffy 5x10 rant

I haaaated that argument between Buffy and Riley it felt like it went on forever and I know it was a serious conversation but idk I just found it to be really annoying and it seemed to me Riley was just trying to make it Buffy's fault? I get that he's upset at her being distant sometimes but honestly can you blame her? And they both kept secrets from one another in the beginning it's not like their relationship was exactly built on trust and honesty you know

and Xander fucking XANDER what was the point in him popping up out of nowhere??? I feel like he hadn't been a true Asshole™️ in a while so where did that come from? I would've much rathered Willow talk to Buffy about it than him. And he did the same shit Riley did he like guilt tripped Buffy or whatever and made her feel bad about what Riley did like ??? I'm glad Riley is gone I never liked him to begin with and I hate that he just up and left cause this is what always happens to Buffy and she honestly doesn't deserve it but good riddance I guess

If we're meant to think Buffy never really loved Riley, why did we need a sequence where she runs screaming his name and we see his stoic face in the foreground as he leaves her behind
