i made this in like 5 hours with just my mother-32, ableton, and a microphone
it’s definitely in demo form since it’s not as loud as i think a fully mastered song should be (thanks 2 the loudness wars)

so i decided to cover one of my favourite artists and inspirations :) :) i went for a more electronic sound and added some weird clangs and samples of violins that are heavily processed; also had fun playing with the minimoog VST (since i don’t have a real moooooog yet); i also tried super hard to make it competitive in terms of “loudness” and was meticulously playing with volume automation, compressors, and the dorrough meter, which may have ended up making it louder than I even intended at parts, but at least i was able to achieve peaking at 0 db!!! anyway, enough audio talk! this song means so much to me as does the album it comes from (embarrassing love songs). nicole is an inspiration and someone i look up to lyrically and musically. highly recommend checking out the original if you’re more into dreamy acoustic stuff rather than dreamy synthpoppy stuff :) :) :) <3
