do you guys think that the reason cocona and papika were able to go to into iroha’s pure illusion was because papika had painted her nails with iroha’s oil paints earlier?
i mean, sayuri says herself whilst washing it out, “oil paint is hard to get off of fingernails”, and it can’t have been easy to get it all out with papika resisting so much like that.
plus, we can see papika tapping on what turns into the portal with what is assumedly her fingernail:
maybe that’s why we don’t go into anyone else’s pure illusion later? the reason we go into pure illusion all the time, mimi’s pure illusion, is because there’s a shard of her in cocona. plus cocona is her child so she’s by default some bit of mimi. but we don’t really have anything else that has strong ties to anyone else that goes in with coco and papi into pure illusion, so maybe that’s why we’re limited to iroha and mimi’s?
also notice how what turns into the portal is similarly shaped to the discount kkk’s discount sauron. i’m pretty sure that’s not on accident. i’m guessing discount sauron is larger because it has more shards of mimi in it, but if i’m right that means that anyone can have a way into pure illusion.
i wonder if having a pure illusion has to do with someone’s backstory? we know iroha’s and the tragedy of her grandmother. mimi was pretty much raised in a lab and experimented on because she was able to go into pure illusion. before that, i don’t quite remember, but i doubt it was a happy and satisfying childhood.
