Every time Phat calls Kaye a friend, it's doing something to him. For someone who has been so lonely for so long and now he has one friend. Losing this "friendship" would be the worst to Kaye. When you don't know about something you can't miss it, but after having a taste the loss will feel harder.
I know it would be a bit cliché, but Off's character as the real mastermind behind all the murders would be amazing. I think Off could play really interesting villains. Especially in this one, he is always using a very soft voice as if he is trying to convince you to believe him. You'd think as if butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth, but at the same time what he said just makes you want to get angry at him.
On the other hand, I would hate it if it was the new police detective. I don't know if it's because he is already being antipathetic or if it's the look they gave him. I would want for the real murderer to be a character we've already met before. Someone who was good enough to have always been present, but also not noticeable enough for viewers to guess it was this person. I know it's in total contradiction with me wanting Thun as the main villain.
No child, but a great love life… I don't think they lost anything. If Okumi doesn't care about having no successor (which is not entirely true when we think that he has a nephew) then Ainosuke shouldn't either.
When the feelings are mutual (EP 3 // EP 6)
I don't really like when an episode is too short and 13 minutes can be really short. However, I love how in those short 13 minutes, the series can make me feel a lot of emotions.
I truly find Ainosuke and Okumi endearing. I'm usually not a fan of age-gap relationship, but this one is really sweet. They both have worries and insecurities. Ainosuke wants to be seen as someone reliable and experience while Okumi doesn't want to make mistakes in this relationship as he previously experienced in his past marriage. They want to make this relationship works and they are able to navigate the difficulties by communicating better than many other couples I've seen and know.
However, they still have a long way before being truly confident. I'm afraid that Okumi's nephew is going to be a real treat to their relationship. Even if he isn't actively trying to sabotage the relationship, he will certainly become the catalyst for all the insecurities and worries the couple still has because they are at the beginning of their romance. He is younger than Okumi so the latter will feel like his nephew has a better chance with Ainosuke. I just hope the main couple will be able to overcome the difficulties to have a tighter bond at the end.
