If I wrote Texas Chainsaw Massacre Requel
I was thinking of Texas Chainsaw Massacre that was realised in 2022. It's a long waited sequel to the the first movie and I thought about how potential for it be a good movie but it was never that. So I decided to make my own writing on what I think they should've done.
The concept of Influencers sound great but the way they used it felt out of character in a texas chainsaw massacre especially if it's a sequel to the first one. Instead of the whole creating a town for influencers, I think what they should've done was have a character whose known YouTube Channel is surrounded by true crime but their content involves them being at a place where something happens which they are definitely glorify and exploiting the crime they talk about. Texas chainsaw massacre specifically the first one had a true crime esque because it was branded as a based on a true story. So, having a character whose a true crime influencer and the plot starts with the character convincing his friends to go on a road trip to the sawyer house.
Another I wanna talk about is Sally Hardesty. Sally Hardesty in TCM (2022) was like Laurie strode when she and Laurie strode are completely different people. I believe that Sally being in a mental institution because of what happened makes sense in her part. I think what they should've done was having a background story on what happened to Sally after the massacre. The way I see it is Sally Hardesty committed herself to the hospital and stay there until they said she was ok to go back to society. The time, she's allowed to leave, they hired a live in nurse for her and live in nurse is man. They lived together and because of this, she and the nurse ended up falling in love. The nurse decides to resign from his job and take another job so he can be with Sally and they get married and have a kid. The kid grows up and when they become an adult, they choose the path as a business owner. They get married and have a daughter. There was a time, when Sally had an episode so her kids asks their daughter If they live with her grandmother until she gets better. At the point, sally's husband has passed away. I pictured the granddaughter as being protective of Sally. She's fully aware of her grandmother's past. When the group visit because the true crime influencer lied to them by saying that they got an interview with Sally. When the granddaughter answers the door, she is kind and greets them but when one of them mentions Sally Hardesty. Her tone changes to serious meaning that this isn't the first time someone has come to the house uninvited asking for Sally.
I also think it would be cool if one of the friends was actually a sawyer. This friend has been their friend for only a few months who manage to get in the group because of their charisma. There are certain parts where the friend looks suspicious like when they are talking to Sally. She kind of defends leatherface by saying that he's just misunderstood. I like the idea of the influencer I keep mentioning as to have an redemption arc.
