oh, how peculiar -- yet another dragon in her presence. so rare was it to find others about so openly, with the harsh environment of the HUMAN SOCIETY, but she was coming across more nonetheless. perhaps times were coming to a change, yet the empress was quick to doubt this. ( it did strike her as odd that all the dragons she has encountered are so y o u n g, though compared to she, most were considered so. )
Adrastia had never been fond of water -- previous bad experiences always tainted the idea, as well as its power over fire --, however, the ocean had always intrigued her. the strength that lie ‘neath roaring waves was almost intoxicating, for it reminded her of the magic at home. nature magic, for earth. no matter how much they insist on science, magic was still alive amidst the human world. talons sink into warm sand, digging underneath her scales. while the other was hidden behind human guise, the empress was no stranger to the scent of her own kin. “ fate truly works in mysterious ways, doesn’t she ?
