This smooth and sweet ice cream tastes like bubblegum from your childhood. The rich base is brightened up with bubblegum candies that have been chopped up. This makes for a delicious dessert that kids and adults will both enjoy.
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup whole milk. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup bubblegum candies, chopped. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1-2 drops pink food coloring optional.
Instructions: Place the heavy cream and whole milk in a medium-sized saucepan. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat. Be careful not to let it boil. Take it off the heat and mix in the sugar until it's all mixed in. Mix in the chopped bubblegum candies and stir them in until they start to get soft. Add the salt, vanilla extract, and pink food coloring, if you want. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then put it in a container and put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or until it is completely cold. After the mixture has cooled, put it in an ice cream maker and churn it for the amount of time the manufacturer says, which is usually between 20 and 25 minutes. Put the ice cream in a container that can go in the freezer and freeze it for at least two hours before serving.
