my mom is onto me again about tumblr!!! great!! love it!!

he just became so important to me oh no

and how he always tries so hard to fit in and to understand social clues, but ends up failing. he has low empathy and that's why most of the times he just doesn't realize his jokes are rude, and also because he was never diagnosed and everybody thought he was just a prankster frat boy (which he is ofc) but it's not an act on his part, those are just his immediate reactions and no one ever helped him understand it. fuck i have feelings now. (laurel has low empathy too okay ssshhh).

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i feel like a lot of his bravado might be him overcompensating bc he feels out of place most of the time due to him maybe being undiagnosed????

wow wow wow yes!!!! so much yes!! i'm all about this. also, he also overreacts to situations and has weird reactions because he mimics other people's just he never really understands how to tone it down. and he seems clueless sometimes to what to say or what to do, so he just says and does the first thing that he can think of.
