Look me in the eye and tell me Nanami/Gojo wouldn't be the greatest ship if you're in to dom/sub dynamics
Greetings! I never heard of Pokethropy, but maybe it’s not common where I’m from??? Anyhow, you mentioned you can get like cramps or smth staying in a form for too long, what does that feel like? Does it linger like you pulled a muscle?
-@wimzy-and-joy
To be fair, it's not common in general! In spite of it's myriad of forms, it's not super common in most folks-- and when it does crop up, depending on where, it's way less common for folks to actually be aware it's not just some "strange curse" or "terrible consequence". That's why I wanted to be open about it over here; so others with the condition could see it exists and they aren't alone!!
And luuckily, I haven't experienced it too much! It's actually pretty subtle and hard to notice, but I do get a discomfort once it holds too long. I haven't really had that in a while, though, since I have plenty of open time now to be able to stay home!
There's been a couple of cases of this "cramping" in natal pokethropy, and it's more like... an atrophied muscle, if that makes sense? It's less that it hurts in general, and more that it'll get harder to change back. Longer you go stuck in one form, the harder it gets to go "all the way", and you might end up "stuck" partway there! It's currently thought that it can ease with routine "stretching" via semi-frequent shifts, but ultimately sometimes it really atrophies and physically can't go back to the "full" state.
Unfortunately, most of the cases seen thus far have been exactly this; pokethropes who got caught by an evil team, or something, using altered balls that don't let them break out. Most've these cases get stuck for months if not years as a "normal pokemon", and now can't go back to a fully human state at all. It's actually also pretty likely that there's a ton of Natal Pokethropes of the opposite; voluntarily not shifting and learning to live with the discomfort, who would only be able to make subtle changes now because they've been stuck so long.
Long time no see, Rotomblr!
I'd love to say there's been a Lot going on that fuelled my absence, but ... eeeh ...
Finals came and went-- officially a graduate!-- but I've been offered to stick around for further study, so nothing's changing as quickly as I expected it to ...
Honestly? I just fell off the habit of checking, and that kept spiralling outwards ^^;
I won't say I'm OFFICIALLY back-- no telling if the habit will stick this time or not-- but I do plan on being active today at least!! Got nothing better to do, and figured I'd check in and see how we're all doing over here :}
(@goldenrodchef) Um. Hi.
Uh. I'm, uh. Not a "weremon", but I, uh. I am an eeby, someone who got turned into a Pokemon on a more, uh. Permanent basis. Though I haven't given up on trying to find a way to fix it.
Um. Nice to meet you.

Oh, hello!! I've definitely heard of such things happening, though I won't pry into you at all!!
I'm sure there is-- I've heard about cures for waveform-induced pokeadaptation while I've been here in Unova, it's one've the things the team I'm under right now studies! It might be a bit more complicated to reconstruct you if it's, like, more magical and less gradual in nature .. Wishing you luck, since it sounds like it's more a point of distress than comfort!
Pleasure to meet you too, anyhow!
Head empty week .
