hey bubble!! how was the move? i hope it wasn't to much of a pain! yknow, i've never been to niron, what's it like there? are there any small things about it you didn't think you'd miss but ended up surprising you with how much you did when you weren't living there? - @sashaleaves
Hii !!
The move was fine enough; it Was mildly irritating trying to figure out how to move things-- more than the bags I could pack for the flight, but the dorm was pre-furnished so I didn't have any big items to justify buying a whole Thing to ship 'em in. I did end up doing that anyways, but since it's all connected I could get it functionally mailed! XP It was certainly an adventure tryna sort things out, I'm glad it's done and over with for sure.
As for Niron-- it ... is? I certainly wouldn't recc showing up here on a whim ^^; the folk here can be a bit backwards at times, and we certainly don't have the kinda infrastructure other regions have. I don't even think we have a gym league! You pretty much only see professional trainers up in the city; and that's more of a singular showy battle competition than the journeys and leagues common elsewhere. Probably because folks here fret over dangers in the woods a lot...
Still, it's home, and it's oddly nice? It's funny, really-- folk here treat me like A Weremon, legends and all, and even if they're not using the right pronouns it feels 300% more correct than most folks up in Castelia were, even with the correct words. I guess for me that's one've my own big relevations, and something I never thought about. I figured it'd be nice to be respected as I was, but I kinda just suffocated the poke-part of me while pretending to be a Normal Human. Even when I wasn't doing all'a that, I was an oddity and peculiarity at best <<; even if the folk here have their own opinions, it's oddly refreshing to be viewed as I am, warts and all.
... in LESS self-reflective manners, though, there IS something really nice about how Wild Niron is outside of specific towns and cities. You've got clusters of civilizations, roads connecting them, and Miles Upon Miles Of Forest. I really missed being able to just .... Go. Into The Woods. I've had a couple days already where I just Went Exploring, and it's neat to see how the land here has changed yet stayed the same!! I missed being able to exist as I am, and no trainers means it's Way easier to relax. No worries about getting caught here, and anyone that Is trying to do that out in the wild is generally doing that illegally; there's a whole Process, but it starts with a pokemon willingly following you, not with finding and catching one! Thankfully haven't bumped into anything yet, but I'm keeping a keen eye; nobody expects the tiny dewpider to be a Person and Report Your Poaching Activities, hah.
