This is the first time, in a long time, that something other than pain has made me cry.

Artemis II is hope, joy, love, art, sincerity, accomplishment, community, vulnerability, calm, romantic, it is good in every way humanity has needed.

*Spoilers for Superman (2025)*

i finally got to watch Superman

James Gunn, i love you. this is ABSOLUTELY pinnacle superhero media

its high stakes, but still emotional and takes its time to make sure the viewer knows who these characters are. Journalism being the end of Luthor's campaign, the difference between ethics of each hero, Krypto's behavior issues, and commentary on today's issue (and there is a lot) is SO GOOD. i wish more movies were like this and not the same story over and over with the stakes seeming dull and detached when compared outside of the narrative like most are. Between the emotional impact and mental health advocacy of Thunderbolts*, the family dynamic and themes of survival in Fantastic Four, and the strength in unity and kindness in Superman, 2025 has been one of my favorite years of Superhero cinema. we didn't have super fatigue, we had corporate fatigue. real craftsmanship has been put into these movies by people who care about the source material and the characters themselves.

the embodiment of Lois Lane and her boldness, along side Mr. Terrific's calloused demeanor during Clark's escape with Metamorpho was one of my favorite character elements of the story.

i could go on and on about this movie, and i most certainly will, but for now i must simply consume more of it. be prepared for my blog to be consumed by it if its not by the time you read this.

I love how jedi bob was just some random parts thrown together in a lego set in 2002 and everybody loved him so much that the community gave him a name and now he's canonized in lego star wars media and he's comeback 22 years later in a cartoon and some bad ass hotrod starfighter

I love philosophical debates and all, but I hate the daunting feeling i always get at the end of them. The same questions that have plagued philosophers for eons do the same to me as they did them.

"What do we truly know?"

"What will we never know?"

"Do we ever need to know?"

"What will we ever know?"

And many more

Tonight's discussion, for example, completely broke apart everything I thought i knew, and i wasn't talking to anybody.

"What makes us distinctly human and different from everything else?"

It was just me, leaning over dishes, dripping answers, and rebuttals over the water that cleansed my hands and dish alike. I couldn't answer it. No one has. We say we can, but that's because we disagree with the universe. Our dissatisfaction in mystery bred a need for resolution.

I was left with another thought. A cycle.

"We dont know," followed with "will we ever know?," followed by " we don't know." Over and over.

The basis of quantum superposition, a never-ending loop of feedback, is unknowable until observed. Something positive, something negative. It's all the same with enough time between them.

"Why?"

I love tea sm

Like i need one of these, but tea flavors instead of soda.

Need hibiscus? The first to the right of the ice. Mint? At the end. Raspberry iced tea? Right there. Herbal blend? Present and ready to serve.

It peeves me that the Guardians of the Galaxy had some great costumes in "Thor: Love and Thunder", only for them to be in the movie for like 5 minutes.

I really liked Peter's jacket and Mantis' hair color & accessory. This is also the last time we see teenage Groot, The Benatar, and Nebula with the golden plating on her face. (Also the leather outfit Thor had on when he visited Lady Sif was his best outfit in the movie.)
