Two days, two different Messerschmitts. Images of a Bf 109F, and an under-restoration ‘Buchon’ 109, more correctly the Hispano HA-1112. (For those who are not familiar, this was a Bf 109G-2 built under license in Spain with a Hispano-Suiza engine. They are best known in modern times for being the aircraft used in the filming of the movie “Battle of Britain” in the 1970s.

Those interested in aviation may already be aware that fascist Spain purchased aircraft from Nazi Germany, and many of these lingered in service until the 1970s - and many ended up being featured in the famed movie “Battle of Britain”.
