Destiny 2
So, I don’t personally play Destiny 2 (I am notoriously shit at first-person shooters), but my dad does. He played the first iteration of Destiny and was stoked when Destiny 2 announced it was coming out. I was with him when he first opened the game. I watched him as he played, killing shit, making friends with NPCs, etc, but there was this one point where a cut scene came up that I just suddenly became hypnotized by the TV screen for no reason at all. My dad was babbling about something, probably what we wanted to eat for dinner considering what happened, but I wasn’t paying attention. The cut scene is a flash of an alley way with buildings that looked completely fucked, and it’s night time. The camera slowly pans down, and it stops, staring at an odd angle with the ground being the main focus of the shot. There isn’t much noise, maybe a light music in the background. Dad isn’t paying attention, he’s staring at his phone or something. All of the sudden, a fucking chicken walks into the screen. It doesn’t “buckaw” or anything, it just walks onto the screen, in true chicken fashion. Strutting, it’s head bouncing forward and backward. Out of my mouth comes “chicken?”, in the most confused, coherent human noise you can think of. And my dad perks up like “Chicken? Chicken doesn’t sound bad. What kind of chicken? We can make herb-roasted chicken, we can make chicken alfredo, grilled chicken, chicken parmesan-” And then the chicken on the screen decided to cluck. His head whips around, confused, looking at the screen. “Oh... Oh, chicken.” And he just starts laughing. Laughing. Much to hard for a normal human being. And I’m still confused, staring at the screen. “... chicken?”
I’ve never been so confused by a farm animal in all my life.
A commission, took quite awhile but im pleased with the results. 6 hrs.
