About Tracy Adams
[Tracy Adams was born on Galifrey during the Time War, one of the few biological births of the race. Unable to see their child suffer the war, they bundled her up in a TARDIS and sent her far, far away - to Earth. Here she was bounced around the American Foster Care system until she was adopted at the age of 15.
Tracy’s original story involves her living in a world similar to our own, as pre-Time War, travel between universes was common and easy. After Cybermen slip through to the world she’s living in, she discovers the truth of who she is and, through a series of events, ends up in her home universe, knowing almost nothing about herself, her race, or the new world she found herself in.
This story can be changed to suit RP needs - IE, she’s only ever been human, or she’s a fob-watch’d timelord who’s always lived in her home universe.]
The IA500
The IA500 is a service-oriented android series, specifically designed to act as sign language interpreters for the deaf, hard of hearing, and related communities. The “IA” in IA500 stands for Interpreter Android. The IA500 is part of a larger series of androids meant to replicate the functions of various service animals - seeing eye dogs, low blood sugar detectors, PTSD/Anxiety/Mental Health companions, etc.
Initially, the IA500 was not available for public purchase, and was only available to businesses, schools, universities, hospitals, and other private institutions. They were made on a made-to-order schedule, and each one was designed for its purchaser - a school IA500 having the ability to help with homework, but a business model having the practical skills to act as a secretary or do other needed tasks, etc.
Later, after interest expressed by private citizens, the IA500 was made available for purchase - still at a made-to-order basis, and much more expensive than standard models. As such, not many are in circulation.
Stats:
Base model price was, at release, $10,000. This included customized appearance, sign language, vocal language, and body language databases, and two additional modules/add-ons.
*The reason for the high price was simply gouging. As the models were designed to service an entire school or business, the concept of having a “personal” version was seen as an excess luxary.
The model is an older one now, first made available in 2032. The upgraded version is currently up to the IA700.
Male and Female varieties available - appearance customizable at purchase
Has a database of over 100 sign language dialects, 200 spoken language
Includes database on human body language, and variations of body language based on culture
Other modules are available for purchase/add-on: housekeeping, babysitting, cooking, bodyguard, etc.
Base model can not act as a sexual partner, but the option can be added on for a fee.
[Other Shora headcanons:
Shora has no combat abilities. In a pinch she might be able to conjure a fireball, but her only talents lay in healing.
Her magic manifested late. Or perhaps she surpassed them. She isn’t really sure - they only manifested in a crisis in her first clan, when she was trying to stop the bleeding of a warrior who had been badly injured.
It was shortly after this that she was sent to Clan Lavellan, as her adoptive clan already had enough mages.
Truthfully, Shora does not mind being away from her clan. She never really considered them family, and knew that one day she would be sent away again as she wasn’t strong enough to ever become the Keeper’s First, or the Keeper.]
