Brief
To design a mobile app to provide accurate and intuitive instructions on irrigator performance tests -- which is also known as the “Bucket Test” in the farming community.
Design
The design started with research and understanding of the users and a clear dissection of the traditional “bucket test” process. Working closely with lead scientist Sonia Groes-Petrie at Regen, we simplified to 100+ pages of Bucket Test Guidebook from Irrigation New Zealand to 4-5 clear and understandable steps, and have made the content understandable with clear explanations in plain English and straight-forward diagrams and illustration.
To accommodate the technically minded and results focused user group, the UX aims to be as simple and intuitive as possible, and the brand and UI design is designed to be non-intrusive while installing trust and credibility.
