mccree and fem reader. they aren't together but mccree really likes reader and tries not to show it bc he doesn't think he's good enough. they are chillin together watching a movie or smthn and reader falls asleep on him and he like confesses I guess bc he thinks they are out cold

Since the recall, you and McCree decide to have movie night once every week

Even though the two of you have to spar to see who gets to choose the movies for the night, you swear Jesse lets you win more often than not

When you do confront him about it, he always denies your statements

Not that he’s convincing you in the least bit

However, McCree always wakes up before you when the two of you pass out after two or three movies only to blush when he sees you curled up against his shoulder

He doesn’t want to move just in case he wakes you up, but at the same time, he has to remind himself to stop staring at your face

Mainly because he falls just a little bit more in love with you every time he does

Whenever you wake up, you have to gingerly peel yourself away from Jesse’s body just so you don’t wake him up

Even though he has thought of confessing to you multiple times, he’s never actually been able to do it before

That was until this Friday night when the two of you settled down for the night

The two of you were in the middle of the second movie when you laid your head on Jesse’s shoulder and began drifting off

Before you manage to properly fall asleep, you hear him say something lowly

“I don’t know what I would do without you, darlin’. As much as I wish I could tell you how I feel, I hope you’ll know how much I love you someday even though I know that I don’t deserve you.”

You open your eyes partially to gaze at McCree and slowly lean up to kiss him on the cheek so as to not alert him of your conscious state

“I love you too, Jesse McCree.”
