Something special for today's edition of #FootcandyFriday from the Victoria and Albert Museum: A pair of painted kid leather latchet shoes (c. 1760s) possibly made in Brussels. Delightful buckle #shoes are #embroidered (on linen) with polychrome wools in cross stitch and tent stitch, and feature a short, stout French heel; Great Britain, 1730s-1740s.
