Bucky hadn’t expected this, getting arrested, but when it happened, there was only one person he could think of calling. The call rang and he hoped she’d answer. He didn’t have anyone else to call.

"Shall I go a little higher?"

The touch was completely wanted yet unexpected at the same time. The tone of her voice sent a shiver down his spine. Swallowing, he nodded, his eyes locking in on hers. “If you don’t, I’ll help you do it.” It was a promise more than anything, because he wanted her hands all over on him, and higher, that was definitely where he wanted her hands just about now.

This world wasn't anything like what he was used to and adjusting wasn't proving to be what he expected. He had one tie to the world he knew, so he sought her out, showing up at Stark Tower. Stark’s daughter was all he knew, even if he doesn't know her, not yet.

Toni barges into Bucky's apartment, half drunk, and very jealous and angry. Bucky technically lived with Steve, but half the time Steve was out on missions, so confronting Bucky was possible. At least she hoped so. "BARNES!"

Bucky looked up from where he was sitting on the couch with a bowl of cereal now splattered all over his lap, and some on his wrist and forearm of his metal arm. “Fuck!” he cursed. He’d jumped, hearing the tiny woman’s voice come into Steve’s apartment. “Don’t you ever knock, Stark?” He tossed the bowl haphazardly on the table beside the couch, splashing milk everywhere. He shook off his wrist, pulling off his shirt and wincing, trying not to get the milk in his hair from the shirt. He dried his arm off with the dry part of the shirt and stood, looking down at his jeans. “Damnit!”

Toni figured she needed to do her part and help Bucky feel like he was actually welcomed among the Avengers. She knew how important he was to Steve and for that alone, she’d help him. Besides, she really wanted to take a look at his arm. She had created an electromagnet for herself, encased in a safer metal than she'd originally had. She wanted to make sure Barnes was alright. She didn't want something happeningto him. It would destroy Cap. She didn't want to see him go through that. He'd already lost him once.

Stepping off the elevator to Steve's level, she walked in slowly. She'd gotten some info on him from Natasha, not wanting to grill Steve on it. She knew what Barnes was capable of. She stayed where she could see the room clearly and no blind spots so he could take her by surprise. "Barnes?" she called out to him. She didn't want to take him by that muc of surprise.
