Don't know why but I kinda like the idea of bucky being ace (specifically demisexual). He was a ladies man in the 40s because he felt like he needed to (that's what everybody was doing so he should to right?) So he overcompensated for his lack of sexual attraction. Now that he is free from HYDRA he doesn't feel the same need to pretend. (Thanks to alot of Google research into asexuality)
Steve thinks he isn't doing well since he isn't out trying to date and it worries him when in reality Bucky hasn't felt more like himself.
(I can almost imagine someone like Peter explaining to Steve that Bucky might be ace and Steve is just like: but he was a ladies man!
Peter: he could have been faking it.
Steve: omg he probably was.)
