hello! I was wondering, what's going on in Britain? like what is the goal of the voting? I just don't understand anything that's happening and why currency's worth is going down in the UK

The goal was to decide whether to stay or leave the EU. People have voted to leave. The currency is going down due to months and months of scare campaigning saying that if we leave our economy will crash, thus businesses and investors have bought into those just like other people. Apparently Japan has just stopped trading on the pound because of the vote. It’s a shit storm basically.

The leave campaign hadn’t even proposed an alternative system instead of the EU or what kind of an exit plan they have. So we are left in limbo until they can figure something out. Not to mention all of the people who have moved away from Britain to other parts of the EU- i.e. all those retired people who decided to move to Spain

So yeah...I don’t have sources and this is just from what I can see, but there are hundreds of reliable people out there tweeting and posting the exam same things.

it seems very difficult to be able to remember so many fics, it's a good thing it can be made easier by having such a specific search engine that AO3 has and the tagging system that you guys have! you guys so really good at finding the fics :)

how do you remember the plots of all these fics when you're asked for fics with certain plots? sorry if this doesn't make any sense!

A lot of it is just having a good memory for what we read and paying a certain amount of memory power to what we’re reading. I personally am the sort of person who does most of my studying by just reading the material and making an effort to remember it. That translates over into fanfic reading pretty well. However, most of us keep lists of fics we’ve read and liked with quick plot summaries and we also make full use of the search functions that ao3 and our library have so we don’t have to keep thousands of fics solely in our heads. 

Seriously, every time we give a here you go or a this post link we found it by using the search function the library has.
