Is it wrong that I'm mostly happy that he might interact with people other than Nick Fury for once? Even if it will all be negated and he'll probably be the Winter Soldier again full-time, brainwashed and all, once Secret Wars is done because movies!
Well I’d definitely love to see him interacting with more people but right now the rest of MU is such a mess I’m kind of like...yes, please, stay in space and FAR AWAY. I’m very glad Kot’s run will be continuing because I’ve loved his friendship with Daisy and while the book has it’s shortcomings, Kot writes a sweet, competent, funny Bucky that I really really enjoy and find true to the character. I have no idea what his run surviving the even will mean for Bucky or if it’s just a continuity/timeframe loophole where they will allow the run to finish while ignoring the event and then let it end naturally or what....but it’s something.
And ha ha RIGHT LIKE I’ve been waiting for years for them to kick him back to being WS-like so it fits where the movies are at. GUESS IT FINALLY CAME TRUE except even movie Bucky is nothing like this and 616 never was either? He was all grrr revengey for like 3 seconds after Civil War but he really got nowhere with it and didn’t do anything more questionable than team up with Fury (who is also an old war buddy for him, not just some shady spymaster. UNCLE FURY WEHHH). So now I’m kinda like....what bullshit are they gonna pull and P.S. Bucky isn’t a hateful revenge type and there’s nothing about that that’s interesting for me.
So yeah I dunno, sorry I’m getting to these replies all out of order haha I’m just eternally eyerolling at marvel at this point and really whatever fun people want to glean from this, have at it! I will mostly just be over here ignoring it and waiting for brighter days haha.
