So, uh, five things that make me happy:

Making new friends! I am not that great at it, even online, but recently someone just rolled into my askbox and said basically “HELLO I THINK WE SHOULD BE FRIENDS NOW” and offered to share filthy smut with me and this precisely how I met two of my very best friends in RL so I could not be more delighted about this.

The warm and fuzzy love of old friends. I had a long text conversation this morning with a friend that I’ve known longer than most of my tumblr followers have been alive, and we made plans to hang out this weekend. (She happens to be one of the RL best friends mentioned in the previous item, and about once a year one of us will mention the smut novel we read together under the bleachers in 7th grade gym class and we will groan at its memory and declaim how very BAD it was and how it probably warped our fragile developing sexual psyches, and then usually her amazing husband chips in to explain how VERY OKAY HE IS with that particular bit of warping.)

August is only four months away, and when it arrives, one of my very favorite online friends is going to become also one of my favorite RL friends and four months seems simultaneously FOREVER AWAY and PRACTICALLY HERE and I am so excited about this I can barely speak.

The gourmet doughnut shop that is literally walking distance from my house. Or which would be walking distance from my house if their doughnuts were not so delicious and I were not so fat.

Thing1 wrote a short story yesterday about a werewolf and it’s about as good as you’d expect an 11-year-old’s writing to be, honestly, except the first paragraph is actually really fantastic and creepy and I love it despite (or maybe because of) the fact that it’s also horribly tropey.

Books: Oh boy... The Night Angel Trilogy (Brent Weeks), Private Peaceful (Michael Morpurgo), The Fatal Englishman (Sebastian Faulks), The Inheritance Cycle (Christopher Paolini), The Broken Empire Trilogy (Mark Lawrence), Lucas (Kevin Brooks). That'll do for now.

Anime:  Do Pokémon and Digimon count? But as well as that, I watched Vampire Knight and a bit of Fairy Tail. Oh, and Zoids? Beyblade?

TV Shows: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Supernatural, How to Get Away with Murder, True Blood, Doctor Who - they're my current ones, I guess? And I love Firefly too. (Though TB's finished and I'm horribly behind on Spn. Same goes for The WalkingDead, Downton Abbey and Da Vinci's Demons).

Favorite Beverage: Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum and Coke. Also love hot chocolate, and I've been craving a Bailey's and hot chocolate for weeks now :-(

Favorite Food: Proper chippy Fish and Chips, and my own Spaghetti Bolognaise recipe.

Last movie I’ve seen in cinemas: Snowpiercer (wasn't really in a proper cinema, but I genuinely cannot remember the last time I was in a cinema. It was sometime before August, I believe... I'm gonna see The Maze Runner tomorrow though!)

Dream Holiday: I always say I'd love to go to New Zealand, though I have no idea what I'd actually do there... idk. Failing that, rural Ireland roadtrip with my best friend.

Dream Wedding: Honestly, just a regular church wedding would be fine. There would have to be sunshine though, and an outdoor reception.

Dream Job: Either: TV/film scriptwriter, writer for Marvel (comics/MCU), or an author.
