what are your thoughts on Hugh jackmans jean valjean in the movie?

in terms of acting it was good. in terms of singing, he wasn't bad, but i think that his timbre combined with is accent and the vibrato/belting creates almost an awkward sound. his bring him home is not my favorite. when it's lower, he is better. granted, i dont have many comparisons besides youtubes of concerts and such and i havent seen the film in a few years.
