James "Bud" Sheppard, management sophomore at Loyola University New Orleans and one of four senators at large in the university´s Student Government Association at a Senate meeting on Wednesday, March 26. Santiago Caicedo/Le Croissant We spoke with one of the four current Loyno SGA Senators at Large and management sophomore Bud Sheppard, on his plans and the challenges he sees ahead if he were to be elected as the Student Government Association's next president. Sheppard said that Loyola's administration has been "keeping student in the dark" in relation to the university's $5.1 million budget deficit. If elected SGA president, Sheppard said that he would meet frequently with university deans and let them know "If you [university administration] do not address these issues, we are going to have a very big problem because these are students that are paying tuition to go here."
