Our first trip abroad. We headed for Christmas markets, thermal baths and bubbling goulash. Refusing transport other than our feet we bumbled through ruin pubs and gin bars, sipped Prosecco in royal palaces and had tea with eccentric old men as their daughters ran to the library to check the opening hours for us.
