"There's a special name for beings like you," he sighed, letting the soulless corpse slump to the ground behind him, brushing himself off. "It doesn't surprise me one bit that you'd carry sadist blood in those beautiful veins."

Vere gave him a slow look over, not bothering to hide the way his eyes dragged up and down the other's body, settling on his face again when he was satisfied with the view. Soulless were heavy. It was nothing he hadn't handled on his own before, but for someone he was... friendly... with, it would have been nice to get a little help with pulling the damn thing home!

"Doesn't surprise me that you're a voyeur either," he added with a smirk. "Are you going to help me put food on the table, or are you going to keep watching me fight with handling a monster this size?" His tongue poked out the side of his mouth, teasing as it slid to the other side. "I know I've taken in a few mighty boys over the years, but this one's just a little too big."

"Mm," he hummed, not really listening to what it was the other male had to say. It wasn't like it mattered to him anyway most of the time -- Hanma had a way with rambling on about whatever nonsense happened to cross his mind, and it tended to be something outside of the realm of things Tetta actually gave a shit about. He opened the book on his lap and fixed where his glasses sat across his nose.

"The only thing on my mind today is that I finally have a chance to finish reading this." He gathered up the last bunch of pages to guess how long it would take him to finish it. Shrugging, he let the pages fall again and removed the bookmark from the bound edge, sliding it beneath the last page. He sighed. Did Hanma really think he didn't want to sit and go through a book once in a while? He wasn't pure chaos, no matter what the older teen thought.

"I've been too busy to get into the rest of it, so it's been taking a backseat to all of my other plans, but not only do I still have appearances to uphold with my grades, reading happens to be something I enjoy doing." He looked to the page for only a second before turning toward his companion again. "You're welcome to hang around, play video games. Just don't wander into the rest of the house; my parents would never forgive me for having company over right now."

These crimson eyes did look peculiar and had already caught her attention seconds before, but as she went further on awakening from her deep sleep, she both admired and was scared of the stranger's eyes. His demeanor doesn't make sense, much as it makes her assume deceiving at its core.

Though still not fully awakened, Alice could think somehow clearly. She never accepted the offer of help from a stranger, but this time was different since she felt odd. On the other side, she doesn't feel confident about getting up on her own. Her body is still weak, and for some reason, her muscles hurt.

«I'm...I'll be fine, really. I just need some time to recover.»

Even if the man is handsome, Alice is hesitant to take his hand. She needs help to get on her now weak legs, but she prefers to first recollect what actually happened after she stops being distraught a bit too much within her own sensations.

Ais groans as he once again finds one of his soulless-dogs on the floor outside of the walls of Eridia. Something has been cutting them down one by one, most definitely getting on his bad side. With a strained eyebrow and gritted teeth he glances around.

“You better show yourself.”

Alice doesn't know how she ended up here: the last thing she remembers was running away from some horrible monsters she'd never seen before. Alas, her powers didn't seem to work the way they always did.

Ending up in nowhere, Alice lost consciousness and woke up only to the smell of blood, and see her own hands covered in blood as well. Terrified of the dead creatures nearby, she hid, trying to process how she survived and didn't lose any of her limbs.

Panicking, she tried to hide further in the darkness, with how blurry her vision was, she actually wished to take her time and remember what happened to her. While she tried to recollect her memories and make her body move, she heard a voice.

Looking in the direction the voice came from, she saw a rather attractive man (would be what she thought if she wasn't already scared) and only started to show up carefully. Her appearance was mostly human, aside from her nails, which seemed to be a little sharper than normal.
