Someone asked Buddha "Are you god?" Buddha's reply was no. "Are you a angle?" He again replied no. "What are you then?" I am awake...

You think [you] can't help what you are, but you can.  You can choose.

Certainly all of us and everything is the eternal and omnipotent Buddha.

  We are all afraid, but fear is an illusion. We are afraid until we realize that we are all each other, that everyone is the Buddha.

  Perhaps all creatures are very much more than they seem.  The tree has its roots, the iceberg only shows its tip; perhaps we are all much more even than we know.  So while the meanest peasant lives in misery here, he may be elsewhere living in triumph, making the very stars.

    It is the beginning of wisdom to say, 'I don't know'.

 The Buddha says: Your work is to discover to your work.  Then with all your heart to give yourself to it. No one purifies another.
