I’m inspired by @rahirah and @a-case-of-the-wiggins to say some genuinely kind words about a character I don’t love in the name of positivity and fandom culture:
Kennedy...is strong and confident and self reliant. She is pushy and determined and she believes she deserves the things she wants. Too often these qualities are seen as arrogant, annoying, and entitled in women.
Male characters with these qualities are viewed as “cocky”. It’s considered a sexy and desirable characteristic.
Kennedy possesses a force of will and a sense of self that are admirable. We could all use a dose of Kennedy confidence in our lives.
