Okay but imagine cyrus writing "will you be my boyfriend?" On a basketball and throwing it to T.J. but T.J. wasn't looking so it goes right past him and T.J. turns when it hits the floor and sees buffy grabbing the ball and cyrus is just like "AHSHAH" and buffy looks at it confused about what it says because it's smudged and then she realizes it and throws it to T.J. and T.J. inspects and then he just looks at buffy like "uh oh uh sorry you're not my type" then looks to cyrus and is just like "NOT THAT YOU'RE NOT GORGEOUS OR ANYTHING" and she just laughs but sees how humiliated cyrus is so she just plays it off like it is actually hers and says "it's not for you it's for marty, I just wanted to see if you guys could read it."
And that's how marty and buffy get together in season 3 guys.

“T.J!” Amber groanded, an exasperated expression set on her face.“What?” he groaned walking to the doorway of the dining room. “You promised you would help” lizzy said, disappointedly from the side of the room making her presence known. T.J nodded in her direction. “What is this the third banner you've hung up?” T.J asked Amber “is all this really necessary?” he continued to question.“When we have a mom like ours who will kill us if we don't go all out? Yes.” Amber said simply. “It's true she forced me to invite people to my party.” lizzy sighed remembering the night. At that T.J furrowed his eyebrows. “Hey lizzy why didn't you invite Eli to your party?” he asked curiously.“I did but he said he had to stay home with his brother. Speaking of is Eli coming?” Lizzy questioned, hopeful. Amber gave T.J a look and then said he has already talked to Cyrus. Happy with the answer she ran upstairs while Amber was still giving him that look. “What?” He asked incredulously. “Nothing you guys just seem... close now.” she said choosing her words carefully. “Amber if you're insinuating something-” “Do you like cyrus?” She asked. “I don't NOT like cyrus.” he bounced around the question making Amber pull yet again, another face. “That's not what I mean and you know it!” She said hitting his arm. “I have told several times Amber I doN’T LIKE CYRUS.” he said his voice gradually getting louder through each word. “You say that but that smile on your face says something else” she teased getting up.to go finish another part of the house. “Amber is crazy” T.J thought “There is no way I like cyrus”. T.J has had a crush before, on walker and that was painful and what him and cyrus had didn't cause him any pain so it had to be just platonic feelings, right?
A/n: hey bitches I'm back. The party will be written in main parts and just posted because for some reason i can't for the life of me write the whole thing all together without it sounding stupid.
“Before you go!” Cyrus grabbed buffy's arm catching her attention. “What?” She asked
“My dad has a patient and my mom is at a meeting so I can't go to the gym after school i have to get my brother.” He said,[bloop] “CYRUS” buffy groaned “i know i know I'm sorry but hey! Look you can ask marty” he gestured to the boy in front of him sitting down.“Marty can do what?” He asked, hesitantly. “Can you come watch practice after school? I need some help with the girls.” she lied. She didn't want to say he needed someone else to be there when T.J is there because she isn't good with talking to new people, there tends to be a lot of awkward pauses that she would like to avoid. “You needed help? With basketball? And you asked cyrus?” he teased, stopping as he noticed buffy and andi sending him death glares. “Sorry” he said quickly, looking to Cyrus.“none taken”.
“where are you going now?” Marty asked realizing buffy wasn't about to sit down “I'm going to the gym to practice some throws by myself.” she said turning around and heading out the cafeteria doors.
When she opened the she could hear the basketball hitting the gym floor when she turned the corner she mentally cursed herself realizing it was T.J. and he was about to shoot in the goal next to her. When he made eye contact he slowly lowered his hands. “wasn't expecting to see you for a few more hours” he said awkwardly rolling the ball in his hand.“That would have been a disappointment” she said to which T.J raised an eyebrow. “We have history together next class.” she clarified. “Already here might as well break the ice” she thought to herself walking over to him. “So, Amber tells you were good.” she said looking towards the basketball “want to see who's better?” She asked taking the ball before he could give an answer “i… guess, are you sure we have time?” He asked not completely interested. “depends. on how good you are.” she teased shooting the ball in the hoop.
As the one sided banter continued buffy eventually won too quick for her liking. “Did you let me win?” She wondered out loud, with a hint of aggravation clear in her voice. “Wow, I have never seen anyone get mad about winning.” T.J said anxiously pushing a hand through his hair. “I'm not mad because I won, I'm mad because- well I'm not even mad. I just don't like people going easy on me!” she kept on.
“I didn't let you win alright? I just haven't played since i was back home it feels weird.” he confessed causing buffy to feel regret. “I'm sorry” she apologized and hesitated before adding “I moved away from my friends Cyrus and Andi once.” That caught T.J's attention. “You did? How was that?” He asked a troubled expression set on his face “Terrible” she nervously sniggered “Something tells me you're going through it now so I guess you know.” she said getting sad even thinking about it. “I had two friends back home well, actually i had a lot of friends back home” he laughed “but maybe you know how it is, I was team captain so for some reason that made a lot of girls like me” he recalled. “Someone's confident” buffy mumbled, jokingly causing T.J to laugh “hey! No It's not like that.” he laughed. “it's probably the one thing I don't miss about it” he added “What you don't miss girls being engrossed by you?” she joked “Well I'm gay so I really couldn't care less.” he laughed “but even if I was straight I don't think I would care for all of that.” He said and wondered if it was actually true.”it wasn't like they liked me it was like they liked that I played basketball and had a lot of friends but none of those friends actually knew me besides the two that I mentioned before i just don't think I'll find any friends like them.” he thought out loud. “When i moved for 6 months i told myself i wasn't going to meet anyone like cyrus and and and i didn't. Mostly because there is no one like cyrus and Andi. but, I'm sure if I tried I would have found some people worth getting to know and I'm sure you will too even if they're not like you're old friends” she assured him.
After that the topic changed from one topic to the other and by the time the bell rang T.J was sure of something, Buffy driscoll was definitely someone worth getting to know.
