Same. I have been in An Intense Place, emotionally, about Queen for at least the last six weeks.

one nice thing about @emofaith - she’s one of the first people that accepted me in the buffy fandom and i’ll never forget her kindness. has a delightfully dark humor that often gets a wry chuckle from me. is such a supportive friend. like, honestly, she’s always going the extra mile to make creative types feel like they did a great job creating things. gives love to the underappreciated characters. is overall beautiful and caring and good.

god this is going to be hard because every moment is my favorite buffy moment?

when she realizes that she has herself no matter what and stops the sword between her palms

her ‘nah-nah-nah-nah-na you can’t touch me’ fight with caleb/the finding of the scythe

when she accepts her destiny and goes to meet the master

when she decides to stop sheltering dawn from the world in favor of showing it to her. and then they claw their way out of the ground together. and i’m a mess for days.

this is kinda a joke, kinda serious but…when buffy leads a revolution of the working class in hell with a sickle and hammer……

bonus: this isn’t really a buffy-does-something moment so much as a buffy-centric moment, but it would be remiss of me not to mention her receiving the class protector award. i get teary-eyed just thinking about it.

unpopular opinion: (*gets ready for the torches and pitchforks*) 'chosen' is super disappointing

okay so i’ve had some wine and am in no position to describe my opinion as eloquently as sober corissa might, but here’s my explanation. some parts of chosen are definitely rushed. not all of the characters get the goodbye they deserved. and the metaphorical implications of buffy forcing slayer-ism onto a bunch of girls who can’t consent is, well, problematic.

but from a storytelling point of view alone, it is the most satisfying resolution to any story i’ve ever read/seen/heard. buffy’s main struggle through the entire series is that shouldering the slayer burden makes her lonely, sets her apart, keeps her from being able to do normal girl things. after they change the world in chosen, though, buffy’s able to balance her slayer self with her desires to be normal. the weight of the world no longer rests on buffy’s shoulders alone. she gets the chance to slow down. to be happy as 16 year old buffy wanted to be.

and that’s…that’s beautiful. that fills my heart. that makes me so happy for buffy i’m literally gonna cry rn byeeee

First impression: she’s threatening buffy’s happiness and security i am skeptical…..

Impression now: my damaged child. was not given enough sunshine and water to grow into the beautiful tulip she is. someone give this repentant darling a hug!

Favorite moment: the entire scene between her and buffy in ‘end of days’ where she admits that she had it all wrong - that buffy’s leadership role was harder/not as much fun to shoulder as she thought it would be. where she doesn’t try to excuse the bad stuff she did. where she shows so much growth and self-reflection. god i love that scene.

Idea for a story: well i’m currently in the middle of a post-revelations ‘buffy and faith get stoned and eventually talk about their feelings’ one-shot. so yeah.

Unpopular opinion: ooh okay, i got one! i do not think the kiss in ‘enemies’ should have been on the lips. i mean sure, i want buffy and faith to have kissed as much as the next person, but not specifically at that moment. it wouldn’t have been romantic or cute in anyway. it would have been a violation. kinda like when angelus kisses buffy in ‘passion’ and then throws her against a wall. not good. 

Favorite relationship: *chants* fuffy fuffy fuffy fuffy

Favorite headcanon: shoutout to @bisexualbuffy because this is hers, but i love the idea that faith had a prophetic slayer dream that lead her to sunnydale.

First impression: whiny brat

Impression now: slightly more sympathetic whiny brat (i totally get the argument that he’s endured a lot of trauma and shouldn’t get as much hate as he does but…he still rubs me completely the wrong way and i don’t enjoy his character at all.) 

Favorite moment: “i learned that from my father” - from the only episode in the series where i actually do like the kid. also, *cries*

Idea for a story: just. no.

Unpopular opinion: …i think i’m with the general public when it comes to opinions on connor. 

Favorite relationship: connor and faith because i love watching faith put this kid in his place oops

Favorite headcanon: he’s totally happy and well-adjusted now way to go buddy!

First impression: when will she die already?? 

Impression now: *gross sobbing* i can’t believe this angel was taken from us. saint cordy. so good. so pure. 

Favorite moment: ah, this is probably a popular one, but how could you not love “so demonize me already” she’s so strong and good i cannot!! also, i really love her ‘you’re sheep’ speech right before she owns what she wants and decides to date xander in the public eye. 

Idea for a story: it’s nothing i’m going to write (i got enough going on already) but i would absolutely read a high school au where buffy’s the bad chick who takes no shit and cordy’s the popular beloved cheerleader and they make out all the time and have a secret relationship etc. 

Unpopular opinion: her ‘i can be surrounded by people and be all alone’ speech falls a little flat for me. i don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t touch me the way it seems to most other people in the fandom.

Favorite relationship: cordy and the scooby gang! i love how she becomes a member almost accidentally. 

Favorite headcanon: that cordelia and anya would have gotten along really really well.

First impression: oh man, fuck this uptight asshole

Impression now: hm. kinda indifferent, honestly. he had hella character development, but i find that i don’t actually care that much about him. 

Favorite moment: his gig as a rouge demon hunter! i also quite like his super awkward first kiss with cordy. hilarious!

Idea for a story: 0

Unpopular opinion: i 100% back him in his decision to take baby connor and run for it. it backfired obviously, but he made the decision for all the right reasons. and i think the gang is way too harsh on him. is that unpopular? i’m not actually sure. 

Favorite relationship: i quite like his bro-ship with gunn and cordy. 

Favorite headcanon: Very Bisexual

Favorite moment: when he threatens eve because he loves fred so much i’m- 😭😭

Idea for a story: huh. i guess i don’t really write for ats characters. i can’t think of any. 

Unpopular opinion: i flipped shit when he joined the team for good i was so excited. again, i’m not sure that’s actually unpopular, but there doesn’t seem to be much lorne love in the the fandom and i am all about this character okay?? i love him. all he wants to do is sing and drink and have a good time. like. same buddy. 

Favorite relationship: lorne and fred!!

Favorite headcanon: lorne has found peace on some tropical island where all the residents love his voice and are kind to him and never ask about the green skin thing (i just want my baby to be happy okay?? bet nobody would have guessed that i have such strong feelings for lorne lol. but i do. i love him.)
